What to do?

Couple of questions for the PC experts:

What color pad would you use to apply DACP to remove swirls?

Do any of you apply glaze before carnuba after you've sealed your car?

What pad color would you use to apply glaze or carnuba after the car has been sealed?

Hopefully I didn't ask any dumba$$ Q's. I was just pondering that's all.

Generally when we talk about pads, we refer to the manufacturer and the color it is better to ask "what type of pad", because different manufacturers use different colors for the same type of pad.
A white pad for polishing by one manufacturer may be a white finishing pad for another.

Now with that out of the way for DACP I will use either a polishing or a lite cut pad.

Look around there are a number of threads regarding least aggressive polish and pad combination.

For a glaze you may want to apply that by a polishing pad, finishing pad or by hand depending on it's cleaning abilities, it depends on the "glaze"

hope that didn't confuse you too much,

Naw J, I'm with you. I was going to ask what type of pad at first, but then I saw threads referring to color..ergo...

Thanks for the info. I am mainly talking about Meg7 glaze or a finishing-type glaze between the sealant and the fresh carnuba. Heck even between another coat of sealant. Would it be advised? Or would you just apply the sealant or carnuba directly on top of the previous coat of sealant (I'm talking within about 4 weeks of the orginal application of the sealnt to begin with). Hope I didn't confuse YOU this time. :whistling

If you are talking about putting show car glaze in between another layer of sealant I wouldn't recomend it, there are alot of oils in there and would most likely give you bonding issues. Infact if you put a layer of carnuaba, you will have to remove it all if you want to apply a sealant again,
I have not tried applying a glaze between the sealant and a carnuaba topper, but I was thinking about it.
I have not tried #7, but I have heard that it can be a little tricky and finiky (probably one of the reasons I have'nt tried it  )

Good luck and let us know how you made out

DACP works well with either a polishng pad or a light cut-orange pad.

Speeds above 5 seem to dry it out to fast.

No QD to prime the pad, prime it with DACP and a finger.

After pad is loaded , you need less than you think.

DACP wipes off just as easy as anyhting on the market if done right.

You should be able to apply a coat of #7 over somehting like SG or Zaino if you use a light touch.

I like to apply a very thin coat, wipe off what i can, and wax right over whats left.

When the wax is removed, it will clean up the rest of the #7.
