I just charged someone $115.00 and they gave me 125, which means I could've charged more.



The car was an 05 RSX although it could've used a polishing the customer would have never known the distance.

i think that you are on the right track with the quote....I charge 35/hr to clay a car....so a wash, clay, wax, interior spruce up would be about 3-4 hours....seems right by my books....



but you should not have charged more because then you dont get the tip....a tip is for a monetary sign for a job well done, not because they would have paid more....

I charge roughly $160-$200 for a claybar and wax with no polishing.



$50/h x however long it takes, usually around 3-4 hours.

I spent just under 3 hours on the car as I am pretty fast, so I did the $40 an hour figure....

I find that charging less than $150 is almost never worth my time. All I would be doing is cutting corners, and that makes nobody happy :lock:

Without correctly identifying the market you are targeting, you will have no idea of the prices you should charge.

What you may want to do even is go over the car with something like P21S Total Auto Wash and in your price instead of stating a "Dawn Wash" you could say something like, "I start with a Total Auto Wash to remove all old wax build up"
