Okay, I don't remember this happening when I owned a black vehicle, but man, soon as I'm finished wiping my car down (i own a white one now) from a good bath, flies are all over it. What is it that makes them want to sit on a just washed car? Maybe some soap with deet would help, huh?
 
I've noticed that also with small black gnats. Possibly the smell of some products? I know P21s contains bees wax along with the carnauba.
