What products would YOU use?

Basically, I am fanatical about keeping my car clean. However, no matter what all I have tried, I always feel like it is missing something, and never looks quite like I would like it to. I have tried the Klasse twins, Zaino, and now NXT on my car.

My problems with the Zaino and Klasse products are the inability to remove water spot etching and slight swirlmarking/marring that is unavoidable if you dry your car by hand. I use Waffle Weave towels to dry, and if appling product by hand, I use microfiber applicator pads, or if using my PC, the foam pads.

What products would you use if you were starting over from scratch... let's assume the paint is in good shape... just needs a good polishing/buffing, and then go from there. There are no major imperfections or paint defects. Just the usual wear and tear. Please list specific products that you would use. The car is BLACK.

Side note: I have the full Zaino line, Klasse twins, 1ZPP, NXT, Gold Class, Sonus spray, Pinnacle crystal mist, Souveran, QEW, NXT car wash, Pinnacle car wash, and a PC.

Feel free to add any missing links or alternative products that you would prefer to use.

I would like to utilize a system that does not require frequent re-polishing, thus removing all my sealants/waxes, to remove water spots, etc, which is why I'm currently using the NXT.

Without seeing your car and going by your description, it's probably something that #80 could handle. Personally I prefer carnubas for LSPs, so ... I'd recommend:

1) #80

2) intermediate polish/glaze, e.g. VM or PwC, or Pinnacle's Pre-cleaner (optional)

3) Souveran

This combo should be stunning on black!

My process that I performed on a co-workers Black Plymouth Prowler was

1. Menzerna IP with orange cut pad

2. Menzerna FP2 white polish pad

3. Klasse AIO

4. Couple of layers of Zaino 24 hours after the AIO.

5. P21S for a extra depth is a suggestion but not what I did.

Looked GORGIOUS!! The only swirls that came back where ones he was inducing on the car himself from his poor washing habits. Otherwise i was very pleased with the results but it took ALLLL DAYY LOOONG!

:D

Another opinion here :

1)polish with 3M Perfect it III machine polish , PC and yellow polishing pad

2) PC + orange pad + 3M Perfect it III machine glaze

3) Dawn wash

4) Z all the way

and the result should look like :

Happy detailing
