What products do you regret buying?

Wow this is like the hall of shame. I bet vendors are cringing to see their products listed here. I guess I will throw a log on the fire.

Poli-Seal. Durability not up to others I have used. However, nothing I have used was easier. It almost disappears while polishing. Maybe if I used as a cleaner and prep instead of an LSP I would have been happier.

How long did Poli-seal bead up for you ?Thanks:)

the products i regret buying was....

Turtle Wax...

i was promised a look that not even paul dalton's Swissvax wax could deliver.. and it didnt..... seriously a bummer... :horse:

Wow, BTBM and ARO on the list...two of my favorite products to date, I must be slow.:hmmm:

If I have to pick one, it would be Mothers All Wheel and Tire Cleaner. Even using sweeping motions to apply; not very cost effective and very weak cleaning power; and IME, not near the cleaning power of ARO. Maybe the Mothers AWTC is activated by water just like ARO, therefor I'm just using it wrong???:wall

I haven't liked anything I have tried from Zaino

Souveran is a joke. Yeah it looks OK, but it lasts a couple weeks at most. Not worth the price at all IMO when you have something like BFMS out there that looks amazing and lasts for several months.

Werkstat Soap was pretty bad. Suds last only until you put your wash media in the bucket.

Car Pro PERL, might be the worst dressing I have ever used. Sure it looked great when I applied it, and it isn't too expensive, but after one rain it was a runny mess all over the paint of my car.

Optimum Metal Polish. It's not a bad product, but I just prefer Collinite Metal Wax, so I shouldn't have tried to fix something that wasn't broken.

I would also like to add 303 Aerospace. Not a bad product by any means, but there are way better ones out there IMO. (UIGP for one)

I agree, and that turtle wax "ice" crap, didn't do jack for my car. I guess alot of people who start off washing their own cars make the mistake of buying turtle wax products, which they claim 'Turtle wax' is the #1 most bought wax in america

Meguiars Body Solvent.....

I couldn't give away my gallon of it..
Takes WAAAAYYYY too long to work. I was told to spray on, let dwell for 10 minutes, wipe, and repeat. Repeat several times and still no good. I switched BACK to CarBrite All Sol.

I can't believe I forgot that one! That might be the biggest regret of them all. I think just spraying water on bugs and tar would work better. I tried to give mine away too and no one would take it. In the trash it went.

It's not that bad guys? Ive been using a gallon of it here recently and it has worked fine for me. yeah it's not the fastest. but it works?

I have never gotten it to work for me. I've let it dwell, pressure washed it off, applied it as heavily as I could...nothing worked. Tarminator on the other hand takes car of pretty much everything in no time flat. I just don't want to waste time waiting around for a product to work, if there is something better out there. Time is money! :D

Same here. I shouldn't have to work on a small area of tar for 30 minutes when working on Clients' cars. I've tried spraying on heavy, letting sit, re-applying, wiping with a MF towel, re-applying, hitting it with a bug sponge, pressure washing.....
It works, sure, but not anywhere near as fast as ANY other products I have used. I don't have time for it. Heck, my All Sol from CarBrite goes on and works instantly. Same with 3M Adhesive/Tar remover....
To each their own though.

It makes a good weed killer. No more weeds in the cracks of my driveway

This is where it gets interesting.

I did a side by side with OPC and ARO on a tire (have pic somewhere) and ARO did not remove the tire brown. I also did a side by side of OPC and Mothers and they were equal. Now, I am only judging by cleaning off the tire since my wheels are often clean.

I may try a 3 way test and see what I can learn.

Yes sir! Im gald you caught it!

But honestly, so far i havent comed across a product i regret buying or disliked. I dont tend to buy alot of stuff. Some stuff just gets the job done and i feel that there is no need to keep searching for something else to replace it when its already doing the job.

I thought I was the only one who used stuff like that for weed killer lmao. Laquer thinner works the best. You can watch the grass die.Just don't let a tree hugger see you doing it.

I still need some OPC, I hear it's great stuff. I don't know why ARO works for me and not others though...
