What product for chrome wheels

great question, i would also like to know this one. i have some Boyd's that are going to need some work pretty soon.

If they're chrome plated, use a quality chrome polish. There are several good brands out there. Considering what the wheels cost, though, I'd stay away from the $1.99 stuff.

Mother's Chrome Polish did a great job on the surface rust that was on most of the chrome of a motorcycle that had been stored in a shed for 6 years.
It's also easy to find. Most any parts or discount store will have it on the shelf.

I doubt if the chrome wheels are clearcoated, but many wheels are. In that case, I think you might want to use a paint cleaner and sealant.

I agree:D and I'd make sure it's also non-abrasive so that you don't first wear down the chrome plating, which is rather thin, and second that you don't introduce more scratches while cleaning:bigups

ps...after years of dealing with high end street rods, they also prefer non-silicone polishes which won't haze upon high heat...

I've had chrome 18" Enkies on my truck for two years. I use Spray & Wipe almost daily. Once a month or so I'll use PP by hand followed by EX-P.

Never any problems, great shine. :cool
