What product for a one step polish?

your right its cheaper, but I havent tried it, and I know poli seal works. poli seal went up too its $39 a gallon:shocked

I take it you have the high temp stuff and like it? It sounds like it might be alittle more aggressive than optimums stuff, witch might not be a bad thing.... Ive never used any of high temps products. are they less greasy than optimums?

Optimum Polish for light to moderate defects and Poli-Seal for light defects. Vanilla Moose if I am going with a carnauba.

That is assuming one polish step and one sealing step. As a pure one step polish and seal, I go with Poli-Seal.

Let me know if you want to pick some of the stuff up. I have almost every product that has been recommended to you for this. Like I said, you are about 2 miles away.

I've used a lot of stuff from Hi-Temp, and the Paint Perfection (one step polish/wax) is pretty good. It combines the HT LC (which is excellent for light removal/cleaning and finishes down very nice) with a polymer sealant claimed to last 3 months (I haven't tested the durability myself). Overall I really like their entire line, and you can't beat their prices. I am currently testing the durability of their LSP, but they look very good.

Also, I think people (myself included) are confused on if you are doing a one-step polish/wax or a one-step paint correction followed by an LSP.

Hey everyone, I plan on doing a one step paint correction, followed by an LSP. Thanks xhaust thats what Ive been trying to say! Sorry, I stink with getting my thoughts into words sometimes!

It seems that these products that have been recommended have light correction abilities built in. But I would like to top them with something.

What would you guys top these products with

1)Poli Seal

2)OP

3)XMT 360

I know 2 of 3 of these are AIO type products, but I would like to top them with something, what are your recommendations.

Also does 4 hours really seem like too much time for an exterior detail w/ a 1 step polish?

Josh, I really appreciate that, If you dont mind, when I get this date set with the customer, I would love to take you up on that offer! That's very generous of you!

Jim

No problem. I am around most of the time and you can give a try to almost every product I have. Tons of stuff because "I have a problem" when it comes to buying them.

wow they have XMT stuff too? maybe I will just run over there tomorrow and pick up some things. I have heard good things about the XMT line anyways, I know you offered to let me try it, but for 10 bucks, even if i hate it, no harm is done.

Jim

If you cant meet their hours, drop me a note and we can meet up and you can try a few products to take with you.

Ive only tried poli-seal oncece, and I am not really liking it. Have to try and work with it more I guess. Definitely has a learning curve for me.

In the meantime, I'd also like to say that PPG is my favorite AIO. I find that I can get a decent finish with light cut or polish pad, and then top with either Collinite, OCW, or Pinkwax.
