What PB products give the wettest look?

My PB rigme usually consists of

SSR 2.5
SSR 1
Followed by EX by hand let sit for 30 minutes
then i usually do 3 coats of Trade secret one after the other and the look is AMAZING

Any advice on how to get an even wetter look or any product advice thanx
 
Once in awhile i will either use the PP before the 2.5 to see how bad the finsih really is or even after the 2.5 to see what polish i should use next because the PP gives it that super clear clean look
 
So would you guys say that the SSR1 will not cut as much or do as much cleaning as the PP? I am new to the Poorboy's line and have read a lot about it on here, I just can't make up my mind on what to use.
 
I have an idea :) First i need to order more VM....

I want to try this combo

SSR2.5 with edge green pad

SSR 1 with blue pad

Vanilla Moose by hand

Ex by hand

Then multiple layers of Treade Secret

I really wnat to see how wet that combo would be:)

My girl freind wants me to try it first on her car a green civic
 
My full regime was:

PB Claybar

SW as lubricant for claybar

SSR2 (using PC and Megs Polishing pad)

SSR1 (using PC and another Megs Polishing pad)

PP (using PC and Megs Detailing pad)

SSR1 again (to give it a wetter shine)

EX-P (using PC and Megs Polishing pad)

Nattys (2 coats - 1st coat w/Megs polishing pad - 2nd by hand with dampened Megs foam yellow applicator)
 
SSR1 and VM will give similar results, so using both would be pointless. VM has a bit wetter look, but SSR1 removes the light marring better. I'd go SSR2-VM-EX-TS x 2.
 
You say that you let the EX sit for 30 minutes? If the car is yours I would let EX sit on the car for 24 hours to cure. It will still be as easy to get off as if you left it on for 30 minutes.

If it is a car that you are getting paid to detail then you really do not have the option to let it sit for 24 hours to cure but it will add a shine none the less.

For a PB specific lineup, I'd go PP, SSR2.5 (or SSR2), SSR1, EX-P (x2) for the most wetness. If you want to mix and match PB products with Clearkote's, then I'd try PP, SSR2.5 (or SSR2), VM, EX-P (x2), CMW. Note that the use of CMW will reduce some of EX-P's clarity, but you will gain significant wetness.

Here is my professional opinion about the pastes you mentioned:

Trade Secret is the ultimate in wetness for a paste under $100. It is the same formula as Souveran, and is made by Pinnacle. It is produced for Top of the Line. It is about 10% wetter than P21S, goes on much easier, and you can do larger sections at a time. It is easier to buff off as well, and by layering (about 3-5 days apart) the finish will darken on a darker car. I am replacing my P21S/S100 with TOL's Pizzaz. It's only $25 and you get 16 oz which is more than 2x the amount. Personally, the results are better and again, easier to apply and take off.

Natty's is clear and reflective, totally different than the above 2. It is a great product for THAT desired effect (light colors). It is brighter as opposed to wetter.

So it is not a matter of do I like TS more than Natty's, for me, it is what look to I desire on which colored vehicle. Hope this answered some questions.
 
I got a question for you NickC or any other users familiar with the TOL waxes, not to hijack this thread but whats the difference between TS and Pizazz wax??? I'm also on the quest for the ultimate wet look on my hopefully very soon in the future black infinti(cross fingers). Anyway a current combo i'd be using is (SSR2.5,VM,EX) then I was going to put a coat of TS over it. I'm just curious how this will work on a black finish with the above combo??? I'd be willing to do 1 or 2 coats of TS, but 8 or 12 on the website is a tad overkill. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You want wet with Poorboy's products, on my black bimmer, I used SSR2.5, SSR1, Clearkote's Vanilla Moose twice then half the car with Natty's and half with Pinnacle Souveran. One word, WET!!!

You guys probably won't believe me but I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the Natty's side and the Souveran side. The Natty's looks just as deep and wet as the Souveran side.

I really tried too. I wanted to tell a difference. I just bought two more jars of Souveran. I wish it did look better!

Wow, TS is the same as Souveran!!! I never knew that. Are there any differences at all? They have to do something to justify the fact that Souvran costs twice as much. I have souveran and I love it. Its my favorite for my Black 350Z. I guess when my jar runs out I'll have to consider TS to replace it. But that probably won't be anytime soon because I only use carnauba in the summer...
 
It's all about marketing when it comes to price. That is the only difference I was told of. As for the difference between TS and Pizzaz, Pizzaz is similar to P21S, it's just about 10% less wet than TS (but applies much easier). It has the ability to make silvers wetter than P21S though.

FYI............ Trade Secret is NOT the same formula as Souveran! At one time, there was talk that Trade Secret was the same as Pinnacle Paste Glaze (cheaper & different version of Souveran). The folks at Pinnacle claimed they didn't sell their products under another brand.............. don't know how true that is............. but I can tell you, TS and Souveran are different products.
