What machine should I start with??

"MUCH", is relative only to the PC. The Flex and rotaries are a whole new level(s).

If I could have started over and purchased a UDM rather than my PC, I would still say that I should have started with the Flex.

By now I would probably have added a rotary for the heavier cutting and the Flex to finish up my work.

I use my PC to collect dust and agitate the occasional carpet stain.

This is what I wrote: Do not start with the pc. GET THE UDM INSTEAD

And I can assume that you haven't used an UDM right?

Let me state it again. There is a very big difference between the 2 polishers.

I have a PC and a makita. I find that most of the time, I can get by with just a PC - since most of my customers just want: cheap & shiny, as far as swirls - we don't worry bout no stinkin swirls (in my best Mexican bandit voice)> If you're getting your first machine - I think the Megs G-110 (I have tried one) is the way to go, and Megs polishes are user friendly and not as pricey as some others. For the money, you could almost get a G-110 and Makita for the price of a Flex.

Holy cow. Easy.....

:chill:

Yes. I did get a chance to use a UDM. On a GM suv. In Michigan. I converted that fellow to the Flex during my time there. He ordered it from DI while I was still there. Quantum leap from the PC? Not in my experience. Better torque though.

I was just letting everyone know that IMO there is a quantum leap between the UDM/PC group and the Flex 3401VRG and another between the Flex 3401VRG and a quality rotary.

After that there is always a die grinder or a sand blaster....:lol

I'd say that if you start with the flex, then might as well go for the rotary.

Im going to order the flex and a makita, If I can use the flex with 4" pads using the Edge adapter I should be all ready to go.. I have a cotech machine wich is very much like the cyclo and that will serve as my carpet worker. :P
