what kind of tape to use when detail

i notice people tape up molding when detailing. I was just wonder is that just reg 3m painter tape they use?

Yeah that's what I use. I like the lime green 3M it's about 1.5" thick. It sticks great and leaves no residue behind when pulled off.

Yup, same here. Either the green or the blue tape is what I use. Just make sure you aren't using tape that is really old. The older it is the more it will stick to rubber and plastic. It becomes a real pain. If the tape is more than a year or so old then I would get a new roll just so you don't have any problems.
