I noticed the cyclo pads are also of the Buff and Shine/Uber type (colors, cut rating, etc).

I think that the flat LC pads I have are ok, but the pads that have held up the best for me are Meguiars foam pads. The durability of the foam of the Meguiars polishing and finishing pads is very impressive. I have a couple of those pads that I have used for years, and it's actually the velcro that has started to loose it's gripping ability before the foam has been worn out!
If a car needs more than medium polishing I use wool pads, it's both more effective and runs cooler than foam when compounding.
