What kind of digital camera do you own?

i know that the topic of digital cameras has been mentioned more than once here... i was wondering, what kind of digital camera does everyone own here? and if you feel comfortable, could you tell the price too please? ill start first...


Nikon Coolpix 3200
with extras, id say it was around $380
 
Mine is 2 years old and was a Black Friday bargain. An HP Photosmart 318 with 128M Compact Flash chip...I paid like $110 after rebates for a 2.1 MP camera & the chip...pretty good for the time.

I'm starting to look around again because my detailing hobby has revealed the limitations of my little camera (plus it is battery hungry) and will probably look to upgradd when I get my bonus in the Spring.
 
Canon G6 , after conversion it's something like USD $670. And for the 1Gb high speed CF card, Norah helped me to get it at an excellent price. Still learning how to use the camera tho ;)
 
I've purchased 4 digital cameras during the past 6 years. I use two of them regularly (Canon EOS 300D and Pentax Optio S4). I gave one away when I started getting card read errors (Olympus C3000), and I have an old one sitting idle (Olympus D400).

oh man!!! thats what i wanted to get, the digital rebel. hows it treating ya? feel like doing a fast review for me? is it worth 800+ bucks? i understand that its the cheapest SLR camera rite now or something rite?
 
I already owned a film Canon EOS model, so all of my old lenses can be used with the Digital Rebel. That was my main reason for choosing a Canon digital SLR. The 300D produces very nice 6.3 megapixel images. Focusing is smooth and fast. Lots of manual settings are at your disposal for fine tuning exposures. As with most EOS models, ergonomics are excellent. My main complaint with the 300D has to do with its hot shoe flash compatibility (can't use my old Canon unit in automatic mode) and overall flash exposure compensation (images are too often underexposed when using anything but full manual mode). Despite its few shortcomings, I would buy it again.
 
hmmmm....... christmas is coming around for me, slowly....... more research must be done for me, and ill have to work my tail off detailing over winter break
 
It's good, I just need to spend some more time with it , exploring all the features. Btw don't leave out Nikon D70 from your shopping list if you wanna go for Digital SLRs. It has slightly more features than Canon Rebel.
 
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P72 with a 512Mb memory stick pro. It works well cos my work is upgrading our mobile phones to the Sony Ericsson P910i so I can use the stock memory stick I got with the camera as a spare in the phone.

Price was about A$500 ( ~US$400 ) for camera and card. Does what I need it to.
 
Nikon D100, $1499.00 for the camera body only, with the Nikon - 24-85 F2.8-4.0 D Internal Focus Autofocus Lens, another $450. awd330, you need the digital electronic flash, you can't use a film camera flash with the digital cameras in auto mode. And they are expensive too.

Yes, I didn't find that out until after I made my camera purchase. That's why I was unhappy. I knew my old lenses would work and just assumed that my old flash would too. It was an unpleasant surprise to find out that I would have to purchase a pricey new flash unit. :(
 
Sony MVC-CD300
$1100 when purchased...Available on EBay now for around $300.

It takes a bit of time to start up and between pics, but I like how it has an actual CD (holds lots 'o pics). Also, the manual settings are fun to play with :)

I know how you feel, what happened to me was, Wolf Camera (now Ritz Camera) sold me the flash, telling me it would work. Never did, I went to the main Ritz Camera store in town, and purchase the new Nikon digital flash, Speedlight SB-800. A great combination with the camera. I can use my old Nikon lens, but only in manual mode, since the D100 uses the AF computerized lens.
 
Olympus C-2100UZ (2 megapixel, 10x optical zoom & 4x digital zoom) that some people call "the UZi". Bought it new on Ebay about 3 yrs ago from a store in Canada, paid $425US for camera + extras.

Similar to a SLR, can be used full automated (point 'n click) or full manual, wish I had the time to explore everything it can do.
 
Fuji 2800 zoom

2.1-megapixel ,6x, 6-36mm lens (equivalent to a 38-228mm zoom on a 35mm camera).

Its about 3 years old now ($299 new)and I haven't had any problems . I've had so many complements on the true to life colors of my pics. I get good battery life out of it . I'm sure you could pick them up cheap on ebay now.
