We are trying to figure it out on another forum and it is driving me nuts!

You're killing me. The shape is reminiscent of many cars from the 70's...but the tailight position and the fender vent and flares knocks all of them out.

That is what we keep saying. :lol

It could just be a custom job?

I doubt it's American. I am leaning towards something European. If it is American the only thing that would come close would be some kind of AMC vehicle. But with the window framing that small, and the tail lights that low I am really leaning towards something European.

Coupe, that doesn't look like any Torino I remember, but I haven't Googled any pictures of Torinos.

The Torino was the Starsky and Hutch car. I am pretty sure the Torino isn't it.

Yeah, I already checked it against Javelins, Matadors...I haven't enlarged the picture, but are we sure that is even a US junkyard? Could be a foreign car never imported here.

The pic was taken in Vegas.

Looks like it could be a Bertone design.

I know I've seen this car before, but I just can't place it. The rear side windows look a bit like a Fiat Dino coupe, but I know it's not one of those.

I thought this would be easy! But I'm stumped. Here are 3 cars that I thought might be it, then eliminated.

Lamborghini Urraco

Lotus Eclat

Renault Apline A310

I couldn't find any Jensens that were a match, either. I think Danase is right that it's some sort of custom...could have started as a Pinto, Monza, Matador, etc. Who knows...it's in Vegas, right? Would be a little easier if we could see the front.
