Im a newbie when it comes to detailing.

I have 2 cars and want to detail them, however i dont know what brand is supposed to be the experts choice.

Is it Zaino? What do you prefer?

I am looking to wash n wax my cars

Thanks

My favs in order:

  • Ultima (Best in application convenience (Wipe On Walk Away), visual results, and overall durability)
  • Zaino (Best in visual results, durability, and a pretty thorough product line)
  • Optimum (Best in price, performance, innovation, flexibility (Poli-seal), and durability).
  • Meguiars (Best in price, performance, availability, and completeness of product line)
  • Duragloss (Best in availability, performance, and durability) (Pricing per oz in usually more expensive than Meguiars.)

zaino-i just love it as my sealant. I have ZPC but havent used it yet

Menzerna- my 1 polish.

Pinnacle- i love souv.

i will probably like swissvax but havent used it yet, and i dont like zymol because of the application.

Zaino for the most part, although I've learned that in many cases Duragloss products are similar and <1/2 the cost. Menzerna makes great polishes. I don't know any one company that makes a complete line that I like, although Zaino is the closest.

Ultima (Shampoo, exterior and interior sealants, interior shampoo)

Sonus (SFX 2 and 3 polish, applicators, the entire interior detailing line: leather cleaner and conditioner, interior cleaners/detailers and uv protector)

Clearkote and P21S 100%

Danase (Wet Glaze)

Lake Country pads

DAS pads

Menzerna (IP, Final Polish, and Micro Polish)

Pakshak (waffle weave drying towel, ultra-edgless, ultra-plush, ultra-fine)

Fk 425 (quick detailing spray)

Meguiars is probably the only brand that makes excellent wax's and sealants as well as cutting compounds and buffing pads.

Its the only brand that does has everything you need. The mirror glaze line is awesome, Meguiars definitely gets my vote.

The best brands in a specific niche though would be Menzerna when it comes to cutting compounds and Swissvax when it comes to carnauba wax's. Swissvax is definitely overpriced considering the cost of the ingredients are often a single percentage of the final cost.
