What is your favorite wool cutting pad?

Looking for a new wool pad, something that can knock down 2k sandscratches out of fresh bodyshop clear... which pads do you guys like best?

using m100.

"Tech tip: For the initial compounding step, use Meguiars M100 Pro Speed Compound with a Meguiars WWHC7 Solo Wool Heavy Cutting Pad. Once the sanding marks or defects are removed, follow with Meguiars M205 Ultra Finishing Polish with a Meguiars W8207 Soft Buff Polishing Pad. This will create a perfect finish that is sure to please the most discriminating detailer."

With 2k marks, your process will probably not necessitate a 4-ply wool 'cutting' pad unless you are dealing with a lot of pigtails from a D/A or an inconsistent hand sanding pattern. A finishing wool would most likely be more than sufficient with M100 and rotary on fresh clear.

3D's Turkish lambswool finishes well for wool on a rotary... but I believe it is only offered in a 5.5" pad. LC electrified wool works great and finishes as good as can be for wool too and it is available in various sizes.

If you are after 4-ply, twisted wool, 7.5"... then you have a lot of choices from a plethora of manufacturers.

Obviously, you'll need to refine after the cutting step with a foam pad and machine of your choice.

My new favourite is the flexipads super fine grade micron tested wool polishing pad
available in conventional and 10mm foam interface style like a microfibre
use on da and finishes virtually same colour shade as a microfibre with none or very tiny marring

1 ply wools will cut more than 4 ply and the shorter the pile height the more they cut
1 inch 1 or 4 ply twisted wool will remove more than 1.25 to 2 inch

we do not have issue with pigtails, and/or inconsistent sanding marks..
dellinger can you link me to the LC pad? I didn't find it..

thanks for the input gents!
