What is your favorite glaze??

I Just tried my Danase wet glaze over the weekend and absolutely love it!! I put my car under the 1000watt halogens and it seriously looks like it was just polished with some of the deeper swirls left behind. Very deep and very wet appearance

are you saying it hides defects?

because that is the opposite of what EVERYBODY else has said

It probably has some very, very minor filling abilities, but not anything significant. I love this stuff.

Hi Laura -

In terms of compatibility, I would opt for DWG.

However, for just sheer out oil/oil combo, I would go with RMG/Souveran which is my regimine for the DD this year.

If you want to get your feet wet and don't mind coming down to Ceasers Bay ;-), I can give you some Meguiars #81 Hand Polish.

Huh?? Your from Brooklyn Too?? I live in Bayridge, and it stopped raining (thank god) but not in time for me to get my newly detailed (polished, wetsanded, waxed) car into a garage. I just love New York weather :)

Do you mean Meg. #5 New Car Glaze? DWG has bonding abilities and is a acrylic. So is it a glaze or a sealant?

Finish Kare #300 Hand Glaze or #1 New Car Glaze. Latter is a sealant glaze which will add protection too. It cures fairly long, and the low initial slickness will improve overnight along with the appearance.

But RMG is nice too. Have you tried Meguiar's #7?

#3, 5, #7, #9 are all glazes

DWG is an acrylic glaze

as in it is an acrylic used for looks only, not intended as an lsp

Don't forget Megs #81 Professional Hand Polish.

Nope, I mean Finish Kare's #1 New Car Glaze. It's a light pink liquid, and is a sealant glaze with the same cationic resin (bonding) base as other FK liquids. They have the same MSDS for 300, 1, and 303. According to FK, it fills and seals more than 216. I have only a 4 oz sample, but I love it. Completely different animal than the 303, which contains an abrasive package and is best used by machine. Unfortunately I've never used the 300.

it hides the minor swirls but the deeper and larger ones can still be seen. Its not perfect but from my experience it does fill in minor/shallow swirls that occur from weekly washing etc.

thanks I was under the impression it had 0 fill

So it looks like maybe Danese is the winner. Next question is which sealant have you found works best with Danese???

I like using Danase Paint Sealant to top Wet Glaze. A great combo is Danase Pure Polish-Wet Glaze-Danase Paint Sealant.

Otherwise, opti-seal and zaino z2/z5/CS are good choices.
