What is your detailing Budget?

I've just recently (6 mo. ago) became a hardcore enthusiast detailer, and over the last little while my bank account hasn't thanked me!

I think that since srping, I've spent close to 500 dollars on detailing supplies, including the PC, pads, polishes, waxes, sealants, towles, etc. IMO, every penny has been worth it, and I love to work on my truck. Now that I've built up my collection, I probally only spend about 20 - 50 every month. This is really an addiction though! My girlfriend thinks I'm crazy!

What does everyone else normally spend? Monthly? Yearly?

I've been an Autopian for only 3 mos but I've spent over $400 (the PC + pads was a big chunk of this)! Wow, when I think about the amount I think about some mods I could've done but I think this has been money well spent.

Every time I place an order I think it'll be the last one for a while but then a few weeks later... :doh

I would say about $75, I just do it for enjoyment. From the pleasure i get out of detailing, it's worth every penny spent.

I've been interested in detailing for years but really got the itch in September of this year. Since then, $900-1,000 has been spent and by Christmas, it will be $1,200-1,300 total. I am done buying after Christmas.

Sad thing is that I am just a hobbyist working on my own car, with a different car thrown in every once in a while.

Im right there with ya koko, about 5-6 hundred initially, and about 50 per month to keep everything I like in stock !!

I've dropped about $1500 since May when I really caught the bug. My budget is about $100 dollars a month and one of my New Years Resolutions is to stick to it; $200+ a month is adding up.

since i started to detail my vehicle every day the expense has been almost 1500 since the end of january. i have purchased a lot of stuff to do the job. pc, pad kits, microfiber towels, brushes, vaccumn cleaner, all the menzerna products, plus detail sprays by the gallon, water blades, car dusters, the list just keeps going on. it is money well spent. my truck looks wonderful. although i have less money i sure feel richer because of it

Probably close to $1500 these days...after you go through your initial buying phase, hopefully it levels off. I haven't bought anything in the past few months.

I'm fine as long as new **** stops comming out!

I must have a good 6-7 products I haven't even gotten around to using yet :D

I've often wondered how much I've spent on detailing supplies, products and tools. I guess I should've made that a category long ago in Quicken.

I created a detailing subcategory under auto...everytime I check it I get a jolt, LOL. Sometimes you are better off not knowing (as long as you've got money in the bank)!
