Which detailing products would you say you might just be addicted to? Here are some signs you might be addicted to a product :

You keep buying it because

1)You believe you need more of it.

2)You are afraid that the manufacturer might stop carrying it.

3)A large collection of it looks cool on your shelf with your other supplies.

4)It comes in all sorts of pretty colors and you want them all.

Other reasons:

5) Your loved ones keep telling you that you have a problem, but you ignore them anyway.

6) You spend more money on this product in a month than in food or other necessary household expenses.

What are some other signs?

I voted MF towels. I'm rather new to the 'addiction' for ALL detailing stuff, but I am constantly scoping out MF towels. I have several MF towels still new and rolled or wrapped just cuz I can't seem to stop buying them...and I retire older ones or cheaper ones to household duty and I love them for their ability there too. 1 gets pledge, 1 gets Fantastic, 1 gets windex.

MF towels for me, I still have two brand new packages that I have yet to open plus the many I already use that are in good condition. I almost bought two more packages in different colors the other day but put them back since I don't really need them. My second would be pads. I have too many already.

Haha... I voted for MF towels and QD's.

Although I haven't counted them, I'm sure I have at least 400 MF's! I simply can't walk by some nice MF's (on sale of course) without buying a few...

QD's? I have 15-20 QD bottles sitting around. Some in the cars, garage, kitchen, bathrooms, office, etc... Oh my gosh! I'm hooked!

mine would be mf towels 1st, paste waxes 2nd. i know ill be collecting some expensive waxes to *me* that i know ill never use. as far as towels go i like to collect a variety of towels in all sizes and colors. still have yet to get some from CG but the whats holding me back is the insane cost of shipping even just for a bottle of blitz acrylic detail spray that i wanted to try out when it first was introduced.

2)You are afraid that the manufacturer might stop carrying it.

In my case thats exactly what happened lmao.

As weird as it sounds, dressing. I just love dressing perfectly cleaned tires and wells. It's just instant gratification I guess, watching the tires go to a nice satin black and having the wells be clean and dark.

Wytstang, you are COMPLETLEY insane! EIGHT cans of #16??? That is completely over the top, I can't believe you. I only bought 3 cans.

Huh, eight cans is over the top

I voted for the paste waxes, but there are a lot of things that I have in quantity:

I have a still-sealed *case* of #16 in addition to the three cans in the shop :o And a case of pre-VOC 476S. And some cans of v1.0 3M Showcar Paste Wax. And a few cans of Meg's #19. And a few bottles of pre-VOC 845. And a *lot* of the discontinued Pinnacle Creme Glaz. And some bottles of Malm's and all the other ones that I don't use. And then there are all the cans/jugs of polishes that I stockpiled when *they* got discontinued. And the last of David's stock of SmartClay. And my gallons of QDs (anyone still remember EF Clear Pearl :D ). And numerous bottles of Autoglym Bumper Care.

And I buy stuff like Griot's Car Wash and my window cleaners in pretty big quantities.

If nobody ever comes out with any new products that I like I should still be all set for this lifetime (and no, I've never had any shelf-life issues ;) ).

Stuff like MFs/etc. (of which I have near-ScottWax quantities ;) ) I don't really stockpile as they're generally getting better and better all the time; I just, uhm... accumulate.. things that might not be available in the future. Which reminds me, I oughta buy some more good BHBs while they're still around.

They'll last several lifetimes!

Just to prove it, I'm willing to go into your Will as heir of your detailing supplies. :lol

Yeap, MF's and pads for me. Gotta have all the different sizes and colors. Oh, and the Lowe's GS. I never let my collection of GS drop to less than 10 at any one time out of fear Lowe's might stop carrying them. :nervous2:

I voted QD's. I always QD my car (when it's not too dirty). You know you gotta have a clean car almost all the time :)

Heh heh, yeah..it'll be interesting (and busy) around here when I finally check out ;)

Yo, doc. You’ve sinned and omitted a critical category: shampoos!! (“other" doesn’t cut it) :D

If I have a detailing related obsession, I ‘spose it would be shampoos! a fraction of my currect inventory:

When Scott (Specialty Motoring) had a dent and ding sale & sold them for $10.50 I figured why not. Then I saw my first tin was used 10 times and it still looked brand new, I figured I better vac seal the rest it's going to be about 10 yrs before I finish the first one lol.

Accumulator-I almost bought a case last yr but that was just way to much to have for a weekend enthusiast to ever use up. BTW do you have any pictures of the Pinnacle Creme Glaz? never saw/heard of that one.
