What is "Window Glaze" Dealer Install?

Old Rattle Flat

I was reading the window stickers on a new Nissan 350Z that a dealer has in the local mall, which included a 4 item, dealer installed, "Protection Package" for a mere $995.00. It included pin-stripes, door guards, paint sealant, and window glaze. It's obvious to me that the additional protection offered by the pin-stripes alone, make the package worth every penny; but I don't remember seeing "window glaze" before.

Can anyone offer an opinion as to what dealer installed Window Glaze might be?:nixweiss

I agree, that is the dealers way of ripping you off.

Pinstripes don't really protect the paint do they... (I read that bit of sarcasm in your post.)

Paint sealant is simply Polymer, I say do it yourself. It will cost you about $16 for the bottle, use it 5 times or so.

Window Glaze? I agree with Intel, probably RainX, but it could be Diamondite. Get the kit for $25 and you should get 2 or 3 cars out of it.

Door guards, hmmm. I think they look sh*tty, don't get them.

SO --- $995 or $40 and some labor....
