What is the safest Mitt or Sponge you use that wont scratch the laquer when washing?

I also like "cuts" in my GS. First I wet it, squeezed it out, and put it in the freezer. An hour later it was hard and I was able to make nice even cuts.

Just lay it down and use a sharp razor blade.

The people at Lake Country put those cuts in theirs for a reason.

This is a great thread. I was a user of the eurow sheepskin mitt for years and since they are no longer available at wal-mart and my last one is on it's last leg I was looking for alternative. I like the wookie fist from dodo juice, but not the price, So...I think I will try the grout sponge for awhile and see what happens. I have a 91 300zxtt with soft black paint so it will be evident right away if it works for me.

went to lowes tonight and found 2 different proline groute sponges.

one looked to be a peanut shape with holes

and one resembled the zymol sponge exactly.

which one works better?

i picked up the peanut shaped one but am having second thoughts.

you want the proline GS that says on the package, "tile & grout sponge" and it will be square shaped as well. note... a GS isn't for everyone and whatever you use as a wash media, as long as it doesn't do any damage your are golden...

AFAICT, mine only had two - that one (I think) and a scrubbing sponge with a white mesh back.

I'll check the ones I got, which were not the scrubbing kind.

the grout spongers are extremely soft and are less costly then using a quality microfiber.

I returned the 4 un-opened sponges yesterday and grabbed the proper ones. We had 3 different ones here unless i was just dreaming.

Peanut Shaped

Square Shaped (grabbed these)

Square Shaped with little pores as pictured above.
