What is the best BMW forum to discuss/view pics of X5 tire sizes?

Pleasure to be back gentleman. I just might take over payments for my friend's 2002 X5. He only wants $500 a month for 5 years. Not bad at all. It comes out to about 30k.

Sure its not exactly like my dream car at the moment which is the new Audi S4. But it will do for now.

At any rate if I do go ahead with the deal, I'd like to upgrade the 17 inch rims with the 20 inch rims that come in the X5 4.6is. Those 20 inch original BMW rims are sweet.

Tirerack only lists X5 tires that are 275/40/20 in the front and 315/35/20 in the rear. I might just go ahead and get these but I'd like to see some different size tires on the 20 inch rims in some pics. I did some searching but I really couldn't find any useful forums. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Does this mean that you are getting rid of the Longhorn 747?

Don, I do not have any suggestions regarding your tires, but it's good to see you back on Autopia

those are the stock tire sizes and they look HUGE on the X5. Real nice. WELCOME BACK BTW! Are you here to stay? What color combo is the X5? I assume its a 3.0.

Try asking of Bimmerfest.com

There are other BMW forums but I find the people there very helpful and usualy know their stuff

They have a moderator from The Tire Rack, he has a tire wheel forum, im sure he can send you some pics, Tire Rack.com also has a way of viewing different tire/wheel combos on your car, its basic but it does give some idea

Don2000g...is that really you??? What a long hiatus. what have you been up to??

BTW, my 2 suggestions were already listed...

Good to see you back.

Don, congrats on getting my dream truck (X5) for a nice price. It's nice to see the person who brought me here in the first place back. :D

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Footy, you haven't changed one bit! You are still the class clown of the group. And yes, I still have my Longhorn 747. I'm a faithful guy.

Interestingly, I barely saw the X5 today. Sweet. It has the Premium package. It's a steel grey with the black leather option. It has the sunroof and 10 speaker stereo system. Wood trim, yada, yada, yada. Not bad at all. I guess my friend really likes me because he said he'd be happy to deduct $340 from the monthly payment. I can't pass this deal up.

At any rate, the Bimmerfest and roadfly.org were very useful. Great sites that were very informative. Thanks again guys.

Prinz, you'll always be a classy guy in my book. I think the forum is lucky for having your dedication and commitment to car care.

Jimwh, I've been very busy with work. I'm a school counselor now and the kids have me real busy. I'm responsible for giving guidance lessons and providing individual and group counseling for over 800 kiddos. Not easy. But its very rewarding. The kids really look up to teachers and adults in general when they're at the elementary level.

I should find out the news on the X5 by Wednesday. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks again guys.

When I decide to let go of Daria, I might consider a X5 4.4i Sport.

In 2000, I participated in the Drive for the Cure and the Signature vehicle was a X5 4.4i Sport. I got my mitts on that truck for two days in a row as a transport driver. One of my favorite memories was hauling a$$ up I-57 and taking the cloverleaf to W/B I-80 at 60 mph without the truck flinching/protesting.

After driving that truck, I wanted one of my own.
