what product outside of chemical guys would be most similar to cg citrus wash and gloss? the feature im interested in is stripping the paint for a clean base.

I think this stuff is the best value shampoo out there. Can't be improved upon and costs pennies per wash to boot.

I personally have not found another soap with the same "claims / recommendations" as CG CW&G. It is one of the only ones I have seen that includes directions for stripping an LSP. The other that I know of is CG CW&C.

I think almost all soaps if used "heavier / more soap than is called for" will over time begin to degrade a wax or sealant. I mean the more cleaning agents used the more it will clean; Right?

sounds like a product with unique feature. good for CG.

so you guys think one wash with this stuff strips it down completely?? that's pretty impressive.

I believe the lsp stripping dillution ratio is 2oz per gallon. (Normal is 1oz for 4 gallons.) I haven't used it this way.

In normal dilution, it is a very good shampoo. Maybe slightly less gloss than Optimum Car Wash and Glossworkz - the 2 champions I've found in that regard. Very cost effective.

One wash at the correct dilution, yes. It strips it down.

Normal dilution for CGCWG is one capfull to 5 gallons of water.

I use CG CW Clear for stripping. 2 oz. per gallon.

you can also just add some opc to any of your regular shampoos. I spritz it directly on a wet panel and let it dwell for a minute before washing normally, especially if I'm trying to strip a sealant.

This is what I do. I think light agitation helps, too.

rather than buy CWG, maybe i'll try the OPC since i already have more than enough shampoo but have no APC at all. Thanks for the ideas guys.

This depend on what your LSP is. If is a beauty wax then yes. I have seen CW&G strip it off in one application.

CW&G
Dilution for Daily use is .5 - 1 oz for 4-5 Gallons of water.
Dilution for Stripping effect: 1 oz per 1 Gallon of water.

CW&C

Dilution for Daily use is .5oz for 2 Gallons of water.
Dilution for Stripping effect: 2 oz per 1 Gallon of water.

I have also used some APC to help when trying to remove Sealants...

I know this is frowned apon in the business but have read many places about people using dawn dish soap but comes with some cons

I personally never used dawn. I have CG citrus wash. But I do want to see how dawn handles sealents.
