What is everyone's opinion of Griot's products?

They have the new detailer's price (20% off of the retail price in the catalog). I have used some of their products and they seem to be good quality. I know that some are expensive, but their waxes and sealants are cheap compared to some used on this forum. Just wanted to know if there is something that I do not know as I almost never see them mentioned on this site. Any input positive or negative would be great.

Thanks,

Pat

one of the best car shampoos around. Very good wheel cleaner. A lot of folks seem to like the Speed Shine QD.

Overall I think their marketing/packaging rocks! Some of their stuff seems a bit expensive though. I like their wash mitts & wheel scrub stick thingy (thanks to Grouse).

How do you quality to get this 'detailer's price'? Is it good for online ordering, too?

Thank you.

I like the car wash and wheel cleaner also. I think the Speed Shine, their QD is very similar to others I have tried. It just seemed strange to me that with all the brands that are discussed daily on this site that I almost never see Griot's mentioned. Is it primarily price, that other products are better, etc? I am just trying to understand why they are not discussed more frequently. They seem very committed to bringing superior products to the marketplace.

I would call them up. I was told that they had a detailer's program for professional detailing companies that qualifies you for a 20% discount. You may have to fax over a business license, etc, but for 20% off it would be worth it.

I received a catalog a few days ago and didn't see the discount. There are a few items I'd like to get (tire pressure gauge for sure.) They seem to offer brushes and what-not that I've never seen elsewhere. Would like to buy in w/ the discount.

Not sure how you get the discount started. I was told by one of their employees that there was a program though and it was 20% off. Give them a call and ask about it.

Ok..I wrote them about how to become a whole sale vendor and they replied:

I really enjoy the Car Wash as well. The thing that bugs me is when you read the catalog everything is said as being "the best" or "perfect".

I'm not too crazy about their waxes and polishes. But Speed Shine, wheel cleaner, wash mitt and clay bar I highly reccomend. Their car wash is great too, but they raised the price of the gallon $10. Not sure if I will stick with it or order a cheaper alternative.
