What is DWG

I was looking to buy some of this from Danase but there is no "Add to Cart" option on the product page. I emailed them but have yet to get a response. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it out of stock?

How much you guys using anyways? 3 pea sizes on a blue pad?

I found it easier to apply by hand. The blue pad seemed to really soak up the product. My technique must be horrible, because I ended up with more product in the blue pad than on the car. But it's not as though you have to break it down like a polish so if you use to much it's not a problem, you just use up a lot. Work it into the paint until it's nearly dry and then wipe it off.

Love the stuff... DWG is one of my favorite products. I've only applied DWG by hand, but it dries quickly IMO. Cakes fairly quickly if I use too much. This characteristic requires that I work in small areas.

Was thinking of using Sonus Acrylic Spritz on the applicator or finishing pad or directly on the surface.

My thinking is that the Sonus Acrylic Spritz is compatible with acrylic DWG and will help to spread it in a larger area and work it in more. Perhaps it will speed application time.

Has anyone tried this? Thoughts? :nixweiss

I have regular foam wax applicators.. I have 6.5" LLC pads,.. and I have plenty of MF towels. I really don't want to go buy a 'MF' applicator specifically for the DWG. Can I somehow use a regular MF towel (the 1x1 type) and just apply with it?

Does DWG leave a haze or any such that you know its on well, and ready to comne off? Or is it just a liquid that you somewhat smear over the finish and wipe off when you've applied to the whole car?

Main question is with my applicators, what would be the best way to go about it, without wasting alot of the DWG. I would use a good Lake LLC Smartpad, but I know it would waste alot of the DWG, so has me thinking of using a MF, small towel for application.

Thanks

It will haze if you use too much product. I first used a foam applicator, but it seemed to grab, so I switched to a mf pad and it worked out great.

I ordered days ago -- and Patrick wrote back from Excel.. He said both places are OUT completely of DWG. So apparently it cannot be had from either place this moment. 3-30-08 . He said he ordered last week, so expects it to come in this week sometime.

Just an update here

Yup -- I'm sure they both ordered at the same approx time.. they seem to work in tandem.

Odd that Danase itself would be out of such a popular product =)

But I guess they are reliant on a manufacturer somewhere far away , which mixes a preset quanitity of their ingredients and then ships it over. Time consuming process.

He did mention he would have the factory (supplier) ship directly to me if that was possible.

I told him no worries, to just ship whenever it came in.. to not make a fuss over me.

Update -- Patrick at Excel said he had 2 bottles left, and went ahead and packed mine up. So I will have no wait. Good service , and I genuinly believe he had but 2 left =)

So some other soul is getting the other one I imagine, not sure whom.

Though since he ordered last week I imagine the new batch will arrive early this week.

it is a definete yes, CG makes it for Danase.

How different if DWG then ?

From what I've heard, it doesn't contain cleaners, which is also same as obsessive detail's version.

either way they will all produce outstanding results

Obsessive Details version contains abrasives for a start (as does CG Ezycreme). Not sure what else may have been tweeked for DWG.

I guess the bottom line is that they're similar but different.

Where are you getting that CG EZ Creme has cleaners and abrasives??

The CG site says on the ez creme apage that it has no cleaners.. I also doubt the abrasive claim
