What inspired you to get into detailing?

I live in Canada and the shipping is ridiculous to get the Klasse twins here, even durring the tascar Christmas sale.

I am making a ski trip to Vermont and I would like to pick up some Klasse, does any body have any suggestions?

Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, I would probably even swing by Boston if I had to - a tank of gas is still less than shipping costs.

Thanks a lot.

Hi MiGTI see you made it here (Yo)

Somebody help this poor soul out. There might be a place that sells it in New England but surely theres someone who lives here that can get some for him to pick up. :)

Thanks. Yes YoSteve I need help. :(

This stuff is next to impossible to find in the Great White North - not so white now though - thus the ski trip in the US.

Anyway if anybody knows where I can get it I would appreciate it. If you want to try a new product like Blackfire or something and have some Klasse you would sell to me, I would take it off your hands.

Thanks for your suggestions.

MiGTI ...

Glad to help! I've got one each, unopened Klasse AIO and SG (500mL each) that I wouldn't have used until Spring. I work in Boston and could meet you just north of the city either quite early in the morning or after 3:00pm any weekday. Got them recently from CMA (they've never been frozen) and I'm only interested in replacement cost (and shipping to Boston). PM me if interested.

We're Here

I guess my PM didn't go through on Friday.

Sorry.

I am definately interested!

I am coming down on Feb 15, i think. I can easily meet you in Danvers or Peabody if that isn't too far.

Thanks a lot.

-Don2000* yes you are right it is generous.

By watching my dad and my uncles buff out their cars in NYC back in the early 60's. They even had me wax their cars for them while they drink their beer in paper bags. ( hiding them )

I'm like you Angelo, watching my dad wash and wax his cars. What really stuck in my mind was when he brought home his new Ford Galaxy 500

When I purchased my BMW. I knew that I had to take care of it the proper way, and haven't looked back since.:Car smiley:

My uncle used to bring me along to help assist when he was detailing "years" ago, like in the '70's. Amazing how many improvements have developed since then. He used to "rent" a polisher and used those curved cotton and wool pads, then wax those huge cars by hand. Since then I've had a love for automobiles of all types, not to mention auto racing. He took me to see "Grand Prix" at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood and I've been hooked ever since. Great retro movie btw for those interested.

I got into the financial black hole called detailing a few years back. I was a high school kid sweeping the garage at a local body shop. I saw one of the guys buffing a dealer car with a big wool wheel and a dewalt. He'd be working long after I left and I literally had no idea what he was doing. The next week I asked him if I could stay and watch, and that same night he put a rotary in my hands. (Ballsy guy) He said keep it moving and don't sit on the edges. Another year or so went by and I started investing in my own equipment, and so many products. To this day him and I do detailing jobs on the weekends and enjoy every second of it. It's more of a hobby but it's nice to make some extra cash on the side.

Growing up in SoCal in the fifties...it was just a way of life then...CARS CARS CARS!

Also didn't hurt that my dad was a bit of a super car takercarer (is that a word?). Nice clean objects just look, well nice.

Same story here, Barry. I bought my dream car, an E46 M3, a couple of years ago and it was in great condition, so I wanted to keep it that way, maybe even improve it. Sorry to hear you'll be letting your 3 go, but you'll rebound and get it back quickly!

lol, When I graduated from highschool (WAAAAY back in 2004 :D), My first job was in the Body shop of CARMAX, and I sucked at it, so they gave me three choices. Detailing, Desk job, or no job? And I did that for about 3 years moved on to the toyota and lexus Reconditioning center for 2 years and went to work for my dad and eventually got back into it on a higher end level of attention and care.:White Horse:
