What I Don't Like About Zaino

Is it me or does everyone experience this with Zaino and is this common with all polymers, i.e. Blackfire, Klasse, etc.



Small scratches that you don't see before applying Zaino or just barely see show up much more after applying Zaino. I have noticed this too many times to be an isolated incident. Seems that the Zaino makes them more noticeable.



Anyone else experience this?

Prepping is the key. Are you using Z5 and quality cotton towels and washmitts? You could be putting those micro swirls in yourself!
 
I use Z2/Z5/Z6 with Charisma and MF towels. Most of the scratches if not all of them I see prior to applying Zaino, but they show up much more after applying Z5/Z2.

3 Coats today??? Even though you are using ZFX, don;t you still have to wait at least 12 hours between the removal of the first coat of polish and the appling of another coat?

So how long do you have to wait then? I just thought ZFX made it dry faster didn;t know it cut down the waiting time in between coats. I guess I misunderstood.

So are the results just as good too?
 
ZFX will allow for the following (at least in my experience):

1. Can apply up to three coats per day with practically no wait time between coats.

2. Significantly reduces drying time.

3. Better initial shine.

4. Better initial hardness.

5. Allows Z-5 to fill swirls & marring more effectively.

6. Easier to apply & easier to buff.

7. Eliminates the need for Z-1.

8. Exercises your arm (from vigorousely shaking that damn bottle for 90 seconds!)
 
If your car finish is not prepped Zaino will only make these flaws more shiney and visible. This is probably why Sal does not sell his product in stores. The general public is normally uses products that hide these flaws with fillers. As the name of the product states it is a "Show Car Polish". If one is not going to eliminate the major marring of their finish Zaino is not the answer. Zaino will not cure or hide a bad or damaged paint job( I doubt your Z06 is either). Z5 will fill in minor marring over time and is great for diminishing marring that occurs from washing and QD'ing but it will not fill true swirl marks. As DK stated.. Welcome to the world of optical clarity. My Z28 is black and has never looked better.
