What happens when you use too much SG in one application, aside from wasting more SG)? (too much= approximately.... at least 4x than recomended)

:o

Okay, I admit. That's what I did. I didn't have problems removing it. The silver seem a bit darker though.

The only problem would be removal if applier too thick.

SG is best used with thin applications.

If you get to the point that it is being a PITA to remove, a good QD will help the process of removal, however, it is best to wait 24 hours before wetting the car after application with anything, whether water, QD or driving in the rain. SG is best when allowed to "cure" a min. of 24 hours.

On silver, you're probably ok, but on a red or black car, you would have had a nightmare of streaks, or what we call the infamous SG haze!

If it's applied on too thick, you have to wait extra long prior to removal, maybe the whole night, and one wet/one dry MF tricks to remove it properly. But it doesn't sound like you had any problems. :up

I just put a coat of SG on my Toyota 4 Runner today and the key is definitely "thin". On areas that I put to much SG on it was somewhat difficult to remove. However, I have found that the best way to remove SG is with the two MF method. One damp, one dry.

Even the thick areas were easy to remove with this method.
