What Glaze?

The Danase WetGlaze plays very well with Klasse..even Zaino....its one of the few that do work with Klasse..its a acrylic glaze....the oil based ones like VMG or RMG or megs will not work.....

Hi

Can someone explain to me how Danase Wet Glaze works or any other "modern" arylic/polymer glaze eg. CG EZ-G?!

I dont mean that in a rude way. I see many miss understanding about glazes, infact it seems to be most miss understood concept on this forum.

I understood that glazing oils filled pores in the paintwork, this gives the car a wetter deeper look and also helps to keep the paintwork conditioned.

So here is my problem: you apply KAIO, it seals the paintwork. No oils can possibly get to the paintwork at this point unless the glaze has good cleaning ability (then its not quite a glaze!?).

All i can imagine is that glaze (arylic/modern or tradtional/oil) would just fill mirco pockets on the surface of AIO and help to give a smoothed out appearence with some gloss!?

Or does this new type of glaze acutally lay down a protection in which case oil is wiped away and you have a wet looking sealant!?

Or does this new type of glaze actually suspend some modern glazing content in a polymer/acrylic layer!?

There is no way in a blue moon i can see applying glazes over an AIO would work in the traditional way of glazing that have come to know. And if im correct why do people call them glazes!? B/c they are they are the same step in the process!?

Any help or thoughts much much appreciated as i would like to get my head around this concept. I most on several boards and this glaze over an AIO is doing my head in!!

I have CG EZ-G and find it a nice looking product.

Thanks - Well - I've heard good things. I'm starting over on my Black car. It's in good shape, but I'm going to do KAIO + KSGx3 + Wet Glaze + Souveran. Worth doing the WetGalze step here?

(Maybe a silly question, cause I just ordered 2 bottles!)

yes..that can be used with klasse also....but looks best when used as last product....on a wax it looks best under it....its a nice product....I split a gallon with some one...I use it after a wash right over a sealant....and really looks good....its not as durable as claimed....but sure does add gloss....and slickness...I give it 5-6 weeks tops ...but the slickness leaves after a few weeks...but gloss is still going

Why is it I never hear anyone talk about the Menzerna Glaze? I have a bottle of this stuff and it does add a nice look -- especially like to put it down covered with Optiseal.

Is there a reason why it isn't very popular? Is it made for Menzerna in US (and therefore not "real") and thus not respected?
