What glaze can be used under Collinite 476?

I want to apply a glaze under some Collinite and I was wondering what glazes are compatible with 476 and 845. Another question I had was how long would the glazes last under collinite.
 
Danase Wet Glaze. I hate recommending it since I sell it but it will work under it and it will last more than any other glaze and will also add to the protection.
 
just about anything, being a non sealant.



You can use Mothers Sealer & Glaze (great OTC concealing glaze) or Menzerna FTG (also a good hiding glaze).



I cannot comment on 476, but I know 845 works well with a heavy filler glaze, BC's Product X, with decent longevity (4 months strong and maintaining Collinite's tight beading).



I have a black car and I love glazes btw...
 
Just used CG's EZ Creme under 476S. It worked. Spread easily, buffed easily even after sitting a little. No noticeable buildup on my towel like I got once when I forgot and applied BF AFPP over 476S so I'm sure there was a good build up on the paint.



What you might want to try is applying a coat of 476S directly to the paint, for Colllinite's legendary durability, and then apply a glaze on top like Meg's number 9 or 7 and then seal that in with another coat of 476S. I think no.7 and no.9 contains no cleaners so it won't adversely affect the first coat of 476 and you won't have to worry about the compromised protection of the top coat of 476. At least that's what I figure.
 
Thank you all for your responses. I might try putting some glaze on the 476 then another layer of 476. I will probably try the danase glaze since everyone raves about it.

Yup...best money spent...better than sliced bread..looks awesome also...I used it with collinite 915...855 and 854 and a ton of sealants also...and the results are great....

I am probably going to go ahead and get the udm as well as the optimum compound and polish. I have some scratches on my car that I want to remove and I was wondering if the wool pads would make the job easier. I will probalby get some foam pads but I want to know if it is wise to get a wool pad this early with my experience with a polisher ( never done it before).
 
I heard the Wool pads are horrible on the PC. But then again you are talking about the UDM. So I dont know how much that would change the debate.



Personally I would keep wool to rotaries. Foam will do justice for ya!:waxing:

And like you said, you haven't used wool before. So maybe you can find a donor car or a piece of fender from the junkyard to practice on. * Practicing on a junk fender saved me tons of $*
