What foam gun is everyone using?

GlossyTundra

I am definatly in the market for a foam gun. They look wayyy to fun. It will be for my personal use, in my area you could not leave foam on a car that long dwelling, it would dry and spot. I have talked to Justin about the one he uses, but I want to see what others are using and how much sucess they have had with it.

I want mine to go on a pressure washer, but if it doesent, no biggie. I just really want tons and tons of foam, I will be using Duragloss CWC for shampoo. I looked at the autogeek one, but I have heard mixed reviews on that thing.

So what does everyone have in the way of foam guns?

here's the one is use, and it's made by gilmour of course...

What shampoo do you use? What ratio do you mix? What is your cleaning process when using the Gilmour?

I just orderd the Foam Master II. It has a dial to adjust ratio. So I am curious how I should be using it properly.

Thanks.

accumulator, pointed out a good ratio. add 5oz's of car wash to a gallon water jug. if you want LOTS of foam, than just add your car wash straight into the container un-diluted...

p.s. i'm using the EO1 car soap (blue) as i got 15 bottles of the bucketless wash for a penny each, when autozone was discontinuing them...

I just got my Foam Gun from Autogeek.com and I tried it with my Poorboys car wash and I had it on the lowest foam setting and it worked pretty well. I am curious as to how people use the gun, do you just put soap in the canister or do you add the soap and fill it with water? Also is Poorboys a good car wash to use with the foam gun?

I use PBs Super Slick & Suds with my gilmour & it works great. I fill the bottle 90% full with warm water then top up with the PBs & give it a shake. Set the mix to 4 & off we go, loads of foam & easily enough to do a large saloon.

No problems, one of the things I love about the Gilmour is experimenting with different ratios, settings & shampoos. There is literally a perfect setting for every taste but it can take some getting there.

Still, it's fun seeing the neighbours faces if you overcook it & end up with foam drifting down the street. :grinno:

I'm looking to pick up a foam gun too, I am going to be using it on a regular hose, no pressure washer.... Is the Foam Master II the best thing out right now? I am looking to achieve the most foam possible.

if you want the most possible foam without a pressure washer, use straight soap in the gilmour (something cheap like NXT)
