What exactly is this

I know there are some paint chips in there but my main concern are the white spots that look like road salt. Also, what's the best way to treat chips, i'm assuming a repaint is necessary?

Thats all rock chips

Yea, I definitely see rock chips, but I'm not sure about the rest, the little specks. You could try claying it, but it's most likely rock chips.

Yah I would repaint it. That's just too many rockchips to do a touch-up paint.

Yep, its repaint time, and from the looks of it, clear bra time as well.
