Everytime i click on the click and brag forum, i see these exotic cars that are out of the reach of most people. I wonder what do the owner's of these car's do for a living?, can the pro detailers that work on them shed some light?

Andrew

I had one client who owned a Cheese Company. Family owned for generations. Another one has a family owned commercial printing business. Other than that, most of my clients are rich kids from Hong Kong and going to school.

95 out of 100 are in Investment Banking or Derivatives. That's the Lamborghini and Bentley crew. A few are in Prime Brokerage and Commodities, but not many.

Here is the good part, my highest grossing customer is in the kitchen remodeling business. By the way he spends, l bet he earns way in the deep 7 figures.

all my my high end are investors and such and the other half are rich college kids. really just depresses me for the day when I get a call to do a 07' m6 and the owner is some punk college kid in sweatpants and boating shoes.(I live in a college town)

Are you a "cutter"....

b-town born and raised jumped off rooftop many times and pass the pizzeria almost daily. in fact the little 500 is this weekend.

My high-end clients seem to be split between Lawyers, Physicians, Real Estate Developers, and Ball Players. Some racers, also. Yes, Danica drives a Lambo...

Go Hoosiers!

really intresting...now im thinking about changing majors lol. Screw engineering i should do finance or pre med :P

FINANCE.

You can have the MBA in much less time than any sort of MD.

My son-in-law is a Emergency MD, but earns much more thru some very clever investing and business management.

Strip club owner, warehouse/importing business owners, a few doctors, lawyers, investors, sports talk host, even a couple former Dallas Stars and a WWE wrestler.

Finance is pretty cake. I switched from Chem E, my GPA almost doubled (2.5 -> 3.9) and overall I enjoy it (and life) much more. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to Calc 3 lol.

It's gotta be something you love though, or else you'll struggle with it. I've got a friend whose in the same field as me for the money (he really wanted to be a baseball coach), and man he *suffers*.

I don't have any real "high end" customers....

Most of my clientele are cops, paramedics, EMT's and firefighters.

Have you noticed none are detailers? LMAO! Man we are in the wrong business fellas! The clients I have that are more high end are in the oil business. Some of the Ferrari and Lambo guys that I hang out with are either in oil or some type of financing.

ScottWax- Hope the club owner is having a better time of it these days...IIRC he had some pretty tough breaks in his life a while back.

Good point, I actually service the finance business when I am not detailing. Which is every day but Sat and Sun! I need toys too.

I do get what you are saying, but why would a detailer pay someone else to detail their car? In addition to the professionals (doctors, layers, financial management), most wealthy people own their own businesses. Owning your own detail business can definitely grow into something bigger. I personally do not plan on detailing for the rest of my life, but do plan on still being a business owner. In addition money is not everything, especially if you are not happy with your life.

The city of Arlington shut down their big money maker, Fantasy Ranch. Too many cops got touched, I guess. They've never found who killed Amber Hagerman (who the Amber alert is named after) and a few of the high schools have gang problems, but they have plenty of vice cops to send into strip clubs. Just stuns me how they prioritize law enforcement around here.

Other than that, he seems to be doing okay. Probably just keep the Rolls for a while, he really likes it.
