What do you use to dry your car?

A leaf blower followed by a quality microfiber towel.

Same here!!:up Toro unit. As long as the area is wet, and you're not foolish enough to let it point to the ground, you're fine. I also have a cheap made filter on the intake and use Armorflex on the end of the exhaust to protect if it ever touches the finish.

Gets the water out of many cracks as well.

Do not use an air compressor, these all use oil to lube the compressor and you'll get it on the paint.

Follow with a MF and I'm dry as a bone!

Are you guys using a leaf blower in the privacy of your own garage or outside? I have an electric leaf blower that I bought for cheap once and has never seen any use, but I'm sure my neighbors and my wife would think I'm crazy.

It's too late... If you're an Autopian they already think you're crazy :chuckle:

As far as the cat in the bath towel and tuna can comment... LOL  that was great!

I dry by using the sheeting method and using a WW towel. Both the Sonus Ultimate Drying towel and the Excel Montery WW towel are similiar and by far my favorites.

Those of you that use a leaf blower, what strength is yours? I just got a cheap-o 29.99 one that does 140 MPH. I think I might want a stronger one, as some water still remained in the mirrors after I was done...

i have a 150 mph craftman blower and it works more than adequate. i also had a 200-220 mph leaf blower as well and there wasn't that noticable of a difference for me, so returned it. not to mention... the $30, 150 mph blower is alot lighter and i can use one hand to blow out the water and use the other hand with a microfiber to follow up and get the excess...
