What do you use in your LGCM?

I have only used my LGCM once so far, and used the solution that came with it.

I know a lot of you use APC, but I am wondering what kind is available locally..ie Walmart, Target, etc

All I could find at WalMart was Greased Lightning, but didn't but it because I wasn't sure about it.

So, what do you guys use?

Thanks

I must be drawing a blank, I am off of it today, but what is LGCM?

Never mind. Little Green Machine...I got it now. ;)

LGCM is not widely used. Sometimes we should take the time to spell things out. If you need a grease/oil remover oileater is no.1 in my book!

I just wanted to something to clean the carpets but wasn't sure what people put into theirs.

I apologize. I thought tons of people on this sight used the Little Green Machine because this is where I heard about it in the first place.

Hey Kevin..... I use and swear bythis rug cleaner by simonize..Its in a yellow/red can. You can't miss it. It smells like lemons a little if thats ok, But it works...

use to use a dedicated carpet cleaner....going to try using just water in it for a round of two to see if there is a huge difference....hot water vs hot water/cleaner

I use wollite and warm water. Also greased lightning, but diluted well.

Bingo woolite and warm water have worked great for me as well (it can be a bit sudssy depending on ratio)

Thanks! Can I get Woolite at Target, Walmart type stores? Is it liquid?

Wyt - I knew I could count on a fellow Stangnetter.:D

I don't put any cleaning chems in the LGCM....just hot water. I will mist a bit of FOLEX or whatever the preferred chem du jour is and go at it with LGCM. I have my shop vac nearby and use as necessary.

Woolite Original it's also very effective for cleaning micro fiber towels and interiors (including leather, plastics, carpets, ect, ect) very cost effective. And yes a fellow stangnetter will help when they can woot woot.

Oh if you attack your interior with it (dash, console) it a good idea to go over it with a damp mf towel to remove any left over residue from the soap.

Ok. I was wondering I that would be effective or not. My interior is near mint condition and I wasn't sure if just hot water with spot treating would be effective or not. Thanks.

I will have to pick up some Woolite for all those other things it can do though, plus when I need something stronger in the LGCM.

:woot:

Kev, figure out what works for you. I've neved used LGCM for any large-scale cleaning projects. I prefer not to run anything except water thru the machine as I suspect it will harden and block the small hoses over time.

hot water in the machine, chemical spray mix in a trigger bottle....pretreat the spot, then spray, scrub, spray, scrub, machine to extract with just water
