What do YOU use for a head turning shine...

I`d like to hear everyone`s opinions on this and see if there`s a trend. I started a thread a while ago that dealt mainly with making black truly stand out a mile and the product that kept on coming up was Pinnacle Souveran, which I`m on the verge of trying out.



I would like to hear everyone`s recommendations but let`s hear some details like:

Year, Make, Model and of course the color of the vehicle and the LSP used. I wanna know what you use and recommend for that final last lil tiny bit you put on the car when you want people to really turn their heads as your driving down the road. :D
 
One coat of no.7 meguairs and 2 thin coats of #26 , That's on a 2008 Black Mustang

I have been looking at the pros before and after section. To me the secret to a good shine is in the polishing steps. The pros use a variety of different brands in their pro details. To me I can't tell much difference in the shine from the various waxes used to finish from looking at the various after pictures.
 
COMPLETELY not-what-your-after response:



#1 is being able to wash it without instilling marring. Otherwise no matter what you do it'll only look nice until the next wash and then it won't matter *what* products/process you'd used, it'll just be another marred vehicle.



OK, OK....that said, yeah, Souveran and #26 are both nice on black. Different blacks look different, but those are two products that are worth trying on any black vehicle. Over-and-above Souveran, things get expensive.



Some guys (especially in the Impala SS community) really like how Zaino looks on black, but IMO it's an, uhm....acquired taste that's not for everybody.
 
I really like Victoria Red Wax on black. I have not tried Souveran, but of all the other high end waxes I've tried, RW was my favorite, and cheap in comparison.

You know, I kind of agree with you on the look of Zaino. It looks...."different" when I used el-cheapo Turtle Wax Platinum on the car, I LOVED the depth! Zaino is the opposite. I might just end up dishing out the cash for the souveran.



As far as the marring caused during the washing/drying, none of that will be happening on my personal summer toy, but I do get what you're saying, and I do think that anyone else that is newer to the community should really take the advice seriously.

Yeah, Z is one of the few products I can spot on somebody else's car ("Is that Zaino?" "Ah, thought so, nice ride...") and I usually don't mean that in a good way, at least on black.



Souveran's *NICE* for the money, it's what I use on my (Rhodium Metallic, i.e., metallic light gray single stage) Jag. Just needs redone all the time...plus, it's almost a "gotta try that stuff!" product, one of the standards, if you know what I mean.

Haha :D I hear you on the "gotta try it" part Accumulator. I've been toying around with the idea of trying it out on my black Trans Am for the last little while. The car comes out in two or so weeks out of storage and it might get a treat after all.



How is this stuff work anyways, in your opinion? I don't mind applying a coat once a week or every two weeks as long as it has no ILL effects.

Souveran is pretty much Accumulator-proof, just don't put it on thick. I even let it set up/fully dry before I buff it off, which helps make it a *little* more durable. So much for the conventional wisdom that you gotta buff it right off before it dries ;)

When someone says "head turner" I associate this with mass market appeal. I suspect many appreciate that sealant look since it is different.
 
I know it's not up to the tastes of some of the "elitists" on this forum, but NXT 2.0 and M26 are a fantastic combo, in my opinion.

I dont know about that. Based on the things i've read, zaino products should not be mixed with other waxes/sealents. Again, just what I read.

Before I did so, I read many opinions on DW that such combination is ok. I tried topping Z8 on Colli 476s and Dodo Juice Purple Haze, both time it turned out great.
