What do you use before UPP?

That is a good question I'll be watching this thread since I would like to know what combination I should use on my car to prepare it for the harsh ,Canadian winters.

UPC, AIO, or something else?
I have used both and was happy with the results from either one.
One thing that might influence you is the difference in cost.
KAIO, 16.9 oz. - $24.99
UPC, 16 oz. - $16.99

The KAIO might have a little more cleaning power, but on a vehicle in good condition to start with, I don't think you will see much if any difference.

Is UPC as easy to use by hand as AIO?

Has AIO changed characteristics post VOC?

The UPC is very easy to use, but I don't think it is quite as easy as KAIO. I'm not sure anything is as easy to use as KAIO. :)

Sorry, can't answer that. I have no idea when the change was made and don't remember when I purchased my last KAIO. I don't remember noticing any difference in performance between two different bottles.

Any body shop safe polish prior to UPP should work. The point is to prep the surface properly. The name on the bottle doesn't really matter so much as what the product inside does. If you have polished the surface then you don't necessarily need another paint cleaner such as AIO or UPC. If you used a polish with fillers that you are concerned will affect the bonding of the sealant, then it would probably be wise to clean it and prep the surface properly. 'Properly' is really the key word. Do whatever needs to be done to do the job right. Wash, clay, polish, protect. Insert whatever products do those jobs well and you are good to go. :)

I"ve used UPP on top of Poorboy's ProPolish,PwC,AIO,UPC,Meg's #7 and VM.
Personally I thought it looked best with the PwC BUT I think UPC is a very underrated cleaner. I used UPC on my wife's silver metallic followed by UPP and it did the bling bling!:passout:
