What do you think about this?

I am constantly trying to build up my supplies with quality products. The other day, I was in Wal Mart and saw a California Water Blade. It makes sense about how it would work, but does it really work that well? I don't want to spend $20 on something worthless (although I have done just that plenty of times). I was thinking of using it and follow it up with a MF right after it. :wha

i own and use a water blade. use it mostly in the morning to take the dew off then finish off with a ww towel. am careful to not press hard but it takes away the bulk of the moisture and it is easy to finish with a towel.

I use a blade too. I spritz mine with S&W just to make sure it's clean and blade away the rinse water. I don't use if for morning dew though. I'm a raid of the dirt from the day before that is under the dew .... :brick

I use the cwb, but only on my tonneau cover. I feel that when I use the sheeting technique I don't really need to use the blade. Like everything else just be careful how you use it. I usually will wipe my finger across the blade after each swipe just to be sure nothing is on the blade. The first time I used the cwb I put a 9 inch scratch in the bonneville. It wasn't deep, but I could tell it was there.

I use one and like it alot . Some people don't like . Shop around if you really want one , Pepboys has them for $11 (same blade)

My theory is that if you clean the car properly to begin with, then the chances of scratching your car when using it ( according to the instructions ) are somewhere between none and bugger all - if its cleaned, there is no "dirt" to scratch with. Even when using the sheeting method, the CWB is still a useful tool IMO.

But on the other side of the coin, there are just as many who dont like it, claiming they have scratched their paint with it etc. I personally think they havent washed their car adequately, but hey - its horses for courses.

Its a judgement call that only you can make really. :)

The cwb is a good choice. I have used it literally hundreds of times before chamoising a car and i've had a problem with it marring twice, (i hadnt replaced the blade soon enough.) It's an extremely worthwhile product if you want to wash+ dry a car quickly.
