I'm not looking fo r something to remove swirls and scratches. Just something to strip old crap quickly and prep the surface for a pure polish. I've used Meg's DC#1. Currently using SSR1, but i'm looking for somthing that doesn't take as long to work in.

a pure polish in my opinion would remove the buildup of waxes etc. Poorboys pro polish or aio are great to use and are great for lsp bonding.

I used kaio to prep my finish for it's winter shield ( even though it only get's driven minimally, that's what beaters are for ) but i used ksg. However in my opinon it created a perfect surface for bonding. The sealant glaze cured so evenly and left a very clean suface. I'd go with kaio.

I use 4* paint cleaner, I'm not fond of KAIO leaving something behind. It's paint cleaner -> bare paint + sealant or wax for me.

So if I wasn't looking to remove inperfections then actually just starting with PwC would remove all the old crap?

I would use the PPP and not the PwC because it would leave some carnauba behind and sealants wouldn't bond well over the carnauba.

I use AIO or Vanilla Moose usually. Pinnacle's paint cleaner also works very well as does SSR1.

klasse aio, although it leaves behind some acrylic protection, works wel under any sealant or wax ive used. now if u wanna judge by durability and dont want extra prtotection from aio, then id use ppp. heard soo many good things from it, id definately give it a try.

Ditto! Poorboys Pro Polish woudl be better because it is just a pure polish. The PwC has some carnauba in it which may hinder the longevity of the sealant or wax will top it with. Its better to use a pure polish Like PPP.

since the pwc has bonding issues with sealants why use it. would it be better to use pb"s pro polish, just asking because i bought the pwc. would there be problems using the upps over the pwc. sorry to intrude on your thread but this could be helpful to me also.

You know Joe I was thinking the same thing. I really don't believe that the little amount of carnauba in PwC affects the sealants at all. I have used it under UPP, ExP and #26 without any problems aswell as Natty's, P21S and S100 (which is b/c of carnauba and carnauba). I find PwC to give off a better look than PP aswell. Just my thoughts.... maybe Steve could clarify.

Side note- Since I'm thinking about it, PwC and AIO both give protection and no one has said any about issues with Sealants not bonding with AIO so that makes me curious. Maybe the difference is in the acrylic in AIO?

If you're paranoid about bonding issues then I say use AIO,Poorboy's ProPolish or UPC.If not then I'd go with PwC. As the famous qoute says"PwC is AIO on steroids". From my own experience I've topped PwC with UPP,Wolfer's,EX and EX-P. In my very unscientific findings I did not see where the durability or protection of the sealant was sacrificed in any way when I used them on top of PwC.However after stating that I usually follow up one coat of sealant with several others followed by more applications of sealant or several coats of wax.

Jeff Werkstatt/Prime is a great cleaner BETTER than Klasse AIO IMO
I've been hearing a lot of great feedback about the Jeff's products lately. I'd like to try them out myself, but I'm waiting to see if they have a x-mas sale.

The amount of carnauba in PwC is minimal and only to enhace looks. It has mostly synthetic polymers as its protection and if thoroughly buffed after application as a polish, it should not hinder the using of a sealant afterwards.
I have followed with both EX and EX-P with good (4-5 months) durabilty and my vehicles are outside 24/7/365. Now if you put PwC on like a wax, just spreading it out, letting it haze, and then just wiping off, then you might see a slight decrease in durability of the LSP, but not the PwC.
As rabbi and many others have said, PwC rarely interferes with most LSP's whether they are sealants, waxes, or combinations thereof.:)

Lots of interesting things they have they are selling kits also check them out

Why not just use a 50/50 mix of alcohol and wipe the vehicle down after a good hand wash or use a adhesive remover.
