Okay I was thinking about after washing but before claying and polishing and waxing using vinager. You c im about two ploish clay and everything for the first time on my car and I want to be sure all contaminates are off plus I have hard water so I figured I could get rid of any calcium or whatever is in my water.

I dont understand your question. Are you asking if you should clay or not? If so, then I would. I always clay before a detail. Something about the smoothe paint and mirror like finish just gives me shivers. Plus, it can never hurt to clay. (unless you have a very expensive coat of wax on top ;) )

Good luck.

He's asking if he should do a vinegar rinse between washing and claying.

If you have any waterspots to get rid of sure, go ahead but you can just add some vinegar to your wash water. No need to do things twice and when you clay, it will remove any leftover vinegar from the surface.

The goal should be to use the correct product(s) for the job. If your car has water spots, vinegar is one product. If it doesn't have spots, there's no reason to use it.

I'd say around 3 ounces per gallon should do the trick. Just make sure it's white distilled vinegar (5% acidity)
