I'm sort of new in my area as far as being known for detailing. Their are many quick BS detail center around but none on the Autopian level which I'm working on. I thinking of post a listing on Craigslist an ad for summer jobs. The listing will target kids out of school for the summer. They can get paid daily if they choose to. The way they make money is for every wash they bring me, I'll pay them $5 cash. I'm still working on the particular pricing on how much they get paid per service but to give you an idea they get a 20-25% commission for getting people in. I'm thinking of going with 20%. They'll go to local neighborhoods and and handout fliers with they specific name on their cards that they're giving out.

Business is kind of slow since our spot opened in January of this year. Also, the money will be under the table so how would I got about that during tax time? You know, the IRS would see that I charged $25 per hand car wash and only received $20. Tell me what you think.

I think it's a decent way to advertise and something that's been around for a long time. As far as the expense... it would just be an expense for advertising. Add up all the $20 washes you do in the year, multiply by $5 and there's your advertising expense.
