What do you guys recommend for a white car?

I have a Alpine white M3. It fairly swirl free. I clayed it and gave it a good look in sunlight and under flourescent lights. I put a coat of p21s on there and it looks okay but I want more of a shine. I was thinking about redoing the whole thing and putting klasse on and topping it off with p21s. I was also wondering about Zaino and if it's any good for white cars.:nixweiss

I`ve had good success on white with GEPC, Meguiars Hand Polish, Poorboy`s EX then a layer of PPG or your p21s.

As for the paint, itself, I've had great results from a good clay job followed by IHG and sealed with Liquid Glass. I'm going to try adding an S100 topper to that, next time around, too.

But the key, I've found, to making a white car look great is to really pay attention to the tires, wheel wells and trim (including the wiper cowl, windshield frame and window edging), . The darker, cleaner and "healthier" you can get those dark areas, the shinier and brighter your white will look.

Keep that glass clean too!

If you are going the sealant route then I would suggest Klasse. It makes white just blinding in the sunlight. Use P21S/S100 as a topper for it. That produces some really nice shine and even reflections. Do a search on your question. There are a few threads titled just like this one out there that have more suggestions in them. :xyxthumbs

david328ci- Like Jngrbrdman, I use the K twins on some light colored vehicles. The wax topper makes a difference, too. I also like ZJ JIM 96's suggestion to use well-detailed trim for contrast

I've never been much of a Zaino fan, but Lynn's white Jaguar looks GREAT with it. I've even been thinking I'd like to try it on a white vehicle. I actually believe it would be a more dramatic improvement than anything else, so I guess I'd say go Z. Some people on this board will be surprised that I'm saying that :o

I've gotten good results with the AIO topped with s100 on my white Acura Integra.Be sure to do a good prep like claying and smr if needed than follow with AIO and s100.Everyone was amazed by how good the 5 year old Integra looked that had been neglected (by the wife before we got hitched).

I recently did my new demo..a white 2003 Toyo Corolla..used GEPC and a wax called Pig Snot..

it's available at some Harley stores. Shine was very glossy ..but also extremely slick..you can't set anything on the trunk or hood..they slide off! It also doesn't seem to attract as much dust as S100. I'm now using UPP and S100 on my black Benz.

I'm glad to hear that about pig snot. I saw that at the Harley shop a couple weeks ago while getting some S100. I wasn't sure how good it was. Sounds like something to try out. :)

Hey!

I love white cars! I just finished my wife's mini van. I use #82 Swirl Free Polish followed by #20 Polymer and topped with S100 Paste Wax. Here is a pic (though it was driven for 2 days after the detailing at this point; ie. dusty already!! :().
