What did you do detailing wise today?

Sleet and rain most of the day and 34 degrees....:snow:

Went to the Tractor Supply Store and looked at a new chainsaw. I'm looking at the Husqvarna 455 and the Husqvarna 460, not sure which one.....

Enjoy, I got a RedMax 4000 saw I really like.

Yesterday I started a 2001 Kentworth. Only been acid washed all its life. It looked like flat white latex paint. Came out good for what it was. Still have to do doors and the back of the cab. Can't wait till next week!:yay

Sunday I washed the Speed3 with Poorboys' Super Slick & Suds, detailed the wheels, and put TUF SHINE on the tires. While not HID related, I also installed 8k HIDS in the headlights and fog lights.

It was finally decent (around 54 F with minimal wind) so washed my daily driver.

Products used...
  • Griot's Car Wash - under discussed good all around soap
  • Race Glaze Wash Mitt
  • CG Citrus Wash and Gloss - on wheel area
  • Poorboys APC 7.5:1 - on tires

Yesterday I took both my truck and wife's car to the coin-op and knocked the crud off. ONR wipedown and Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax. Going to be in the 20's this week, but at least there is some protection on them.

Did a quick wash and some sealant on my new Jeep, picked up last week.

I just got the detailer bucket from the store here and it has a black screw on top which makes it water tight. I have a friend with a new 2012 civic that lives in an apt so he does not wash it like he should. So off I went to our local sports neighborhood bar to watch the game this aft and before I went, I mixed up 2 gals of BF rinseless and threw in 5 MF's. Screwed the top on, and threw it in the trunk. When we were at halftime, I asked him to step outside and opened the bucket and handed him a sopping wet MF. I grabbed another, 7 min later we were drying the car with two waffle weaves and the car was TOTAL GLOSS. (Garry Dean method) He was astounded, ordered BF rinseless tonight, 6 towels and two waffle weaves!

wish I had a pic...

Since it's 21 cool degrees outside, I just look at my detailing products resting comfortably in the basement at a pleasant 60 degrees....;)

I can relate Bobby. It will be a frigid 69F here today but I think I will brave the cold and do a light interior detail of the Sonata. ;)
