What did you do detailing wise today?

Did my final wash up here, then proceeded to pack up all my detail supplies.

I will say, the properties of a coating when washing are a lot different than the sealants I am used to. The car blew off fairly easily and after almost a month of not being able to wash it, there wasn`t a lot of dirt on the paint.

Loaded up my dp bag given to me my a generous member...ready to tackle this minivan interior mobile job. I have a helper too.

Brandt,

How is that window cleaning tool? Worth it? I don`t enjoy doing glass that much so I wonder if that`ll make my life easier.

I bought it many years ago. Definitely a good tool to have for corners and spreading the glass cleaner, then i final wipe with cobra ww glass towel (THE best glass towel I`ve ever tried)..that and poorboys glass = glass so clear you forget its there..and ZERO streaks in 100+ degree tx sun)

First, went to my friends house and scored some free detailing stuff. Was getting ready to shoot some goons:

When he asked me if it wanted "this stuff", because he was going to toss it (no longer has a vert):

So, I took it - even though I`m not a Ragg Topp fan.

Coincidently, I was going to treat my deck umbrella with 303 FG...

So, I did do that. After the 303...

Mebbe I try Ragg Topp next time.

Nothing detailing related. But I had the windows re-tinted. The old tint was horribly faded. That last place did a terrible job and used the cheap stuff. 20% rear, 35% front.

Here`s what it looked like before.

I`ll post a hilarious story later. Dunno if I should have said something or not............

detailed a friends 2016 gmc canyon pickup. another dealer `lets hide all the scratches with a good glazing" that looked ok for awhile. it actually looked decent until I got it today for a pbl coating. it was heavily swirled up from head to toe. megs 105 on orange pads and followed up with pb ssr2 and a final coat of essence on white pads. topped it off with pbl surface coat just as the fl. afternoon rains started. the owner was happy.

Just in time for the rain.......

Nice job

Gave the car a wash with Meguiar`s Hyperwash and used the following Rupes duo. Touched up some areas with the paint sealant that the tint guy compromised with some sort of alcohol mixture that degraded the sealant. It didn`t remove it completely but it was degraded quite a bit. But a quick spray and buff and it was all good.

I cleaned my headlamp covers. The detailing came by way of me taking it apart so I could get to the inside. Moisture gets inside so it was a little blurry.

Washed with Meg`s Hyper Wash on Friday and took XxBoostinxX`s advice and applied Sonus Motor Koat to the front grills (sprayed on left to dry wiped off any excess). I really enjoyed watching the water bounce off the WG Uber coating like a loonie tunes cartoon. I followed up with a small urban photo shoot Saturday and watched it rain all Sunday.

I noticed that the beeding was terrible on Sunday but after a quick drive in the rain doing about 90mph the coating self cleaned it self of the tree sap or what not that inhibits the beading.

Here`s one photo from the Saturday shoot:

Great tip thank you so much XxBoostinxX!

Great tip thank you so much XxBoostinxX!

nice placement of the SRT badge

do you use any RW or QD`s on the UBER? if so which ones do you find work best

I love your SRT Jeep

Washed my DD yesterday via a pressure wash; followed by Pinnacle waterless in a 2 gallon weed chemical sprayer (my new favorite way to use waterless wash).

Not bad for 16 year old original factory Nissan paint.
