What did you do detailing wise today?

Started the detailing on a clients 1926 Rolls Royce Twenty Park Ward (the coach builder). He is the 4th owner of the car, and the family he purchased it from had it for over 50 years. This is the 'smaller' version of the Rolls, but there is still lots of paint to work on! He takes care of polishing the metal work and I do the paint. This car has German Silver on the radiator, window frames, and air flow vents so he gets off easy this time! I tried my Rupes LHS 15 Mark II for the first time and LOVED it!
The client has approved write up on this, so as we do more work I will post up some pics.

The spoke pattern I'm ok with, it's the dark color I'm not a fan of. I much prefer silver rims. Personal preference.

Looking forward to seeing more photos of your Hyper Blue STi!!

Bro in Law's silver WRX has silver 18's. So you def have options. His came stock. I prefer the silver, to be honest over the dark gray. The dark gray looks like dried brake dust to me. So, I agree with you.

Love to see a picture of the silver 18's sometime! TIA

polished my keys today with my keychain

Not really Detailing related but I did pick up a MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust System for the Turbo'd Edge. Just waiting for Ron to come over and put it on. ;)

I did it by hand. I actually grabbed the wrong applicator. I meant to grab a micro applicator, but grabbed a terry one instead.
What size? Circle, pad?

I really like applying nattys black (or anything) with this notched buff and shine wax applicator. .i have a couple i plan to use with exp and my new nattys red jar

At 3 degrees with a -10 windchill, not much! :snow: But did knock off a project. It's been some time since i have gone thru my detailing supplies. So discarded what i did not want. Just mostly empties/old product etc. And got things in better order. This way i know what to order for spring.

Had this sitting for a while and decided to use it on my dads new car along with the Invincible Primer. Although I think it's hard to make white stand out, it came out great. Gives it a nice gloss finish. Used G15 with Boss yellow pads for the primer and applied Glasscoat by hand.

Can't comment much on the Invincible Primer, but in the beginning it was dusting and realized I was use way too much product! After adjusting, all was well. Maybe I'll use it on my car and see its ability to cut.

Still learning how to use my camera
