What did you do detailing wise today?

tried something new today. tire dressing in a preval sprayer. got the idea from one of Roberts post and optimum spray gun.

used hyper dressing 4:1 to test. it was the only dressing I had on hand that would dilute to spray. everything else was gel form. going to get some PERL next and see if it'll spray

cool. those sprayers were a nice recommendation. I purchased two and plan to try them out in the next few days.

how did you like using it for the tires?

Can you try the opti bond as well on another tire? :D

nice fine mist. i was using a pump sprayer before with hyper dressing but it kept throwing a stream combined with a mist and made it messy.

i have yet to find a tire dressing/application process thats quick/no mess/long lasting. this may be a solution with some PERL.

Neat! I've never seen one of those before. Hmmm... so many ideas are popping into my head now.

$5 at lowes, suppose to spray 16oz worth of liquid before the can runs out. then the refill cans are $4.

amazon even has the "gun" for easier application

Amazon.com: Preval vGrip: Home Improvement

ive seen these used for plastidip before but when i seen roberts post along with opti spray gun i seen a while back. everything in my head clicked together lol

oh that gun is nice too...so many possibilities with this now running through the head. too bad my home depot didn't have that gun

I've been polishing other peoples vehicles as of late and decided to give my daily some TLC over the weekend.

I used the aggressive wash method that Mike Phillips discusses in his article. I did ironx, foam bath with gold class, clay polish and seal. Playing around with some polycharger that I have been looking to use.

Other than the clear coat failure on the rear bumper it looks good for a car that will be 17 years old in July.

Guz, I really like those wheels on your Pontiac. Simple and elegant.

when i asked the guy at lowes for the location of the sprayer, he had no idea what it was and i explained it to him. after he pulled up the location on his tablet, he goes "ohhh.. thats neat.." and i could see on his face that he was thinking what else he could the sprayer on too. lol

Good stuff glad I got it on the bogo.
As a side note i was previously using uber 3.0 and this dp headlight polish worked much faster

Sealed with EXP

Awesome 50/50! I love DP Headlight AIO. Soooo stinking easy to use with near perfect results.
Agreed and thank you. i feel my tool is holding me back from getting better results.

Corded drill + megs da drill adapter
Thin wool pad

Either way this is what I have for now.

This stuff works better than I was expecting.

Not at all! That drill is a great set up and your headlights look fantastic now. :10:

In fact I bet you achieved faster results with a drill/BP adapter/thin wool pad then I did with my DA running the same pad using DP AIO. :bigups

Im gonna put a fresh coat of exp on there bi weekly too. Hopefully that keeps them in that condition.

i cant talk myself into the headlight sealing sprays i think exp is a good choice for headlights but we'll see.

Weather finally broke today. Nothing fancy. Just a good wash on the xterra and escape. But broke out a old favorite for the xterra....BF CRYSTAL SEAL.

Yesterday, I cleaned in the interiors of the DD's.

I vacuumed then cleaning using CG Inner Clean. The primary negative of Inner Clean is the scent but works fine otherwise. I tried DP Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner for the first time. There is no strong scent, very slight foaming, and cleaned well enough. I used Mothers VLR on the seats and steering wheel. The glass was cleaned with Meguiar's Glass Cleaner.

I want to wash them today but depends on weather.
