What did you do detailing wise today?

Got started on this Hyundai (like Sunday) last night. It's actually in great shape with only 60k miles for a 2010. But the paint needs a good polish to make it look like new again. This one should sell quick once it's finished.

The paint was actually very hard. I ended up cutting with Hydrotech Cyan pads on a Makita 9227c on most of the paint and a Buff and Shine 50/50 wool polishing pad on the really bad areas. The entire car was compounded and it looks great. Just some minor haze and super light holograms on areas I really had to cut. I'll finish this one tonight with a polish on a DA.

Quick Rinseless wash with the new V17 sample on the Dodge Ram
Hyper dressing 1/1 on tires
Blackfire AIO on tonneau cover
Rainx on windshield
Wheels prepped for winter with DP Wheel Coating
Side windows prepped for winter with DP Glass Coating
Interior wipedown with 1Z Cockpit

Gave my brother in-law a hand cleaning up and LSP protecting his brand-new Ram 1500 ahead of his drive from Philadelphia to Everett WA:

The paint pops like crazy now! And thankfully it didn't include the DISO so correcting was at a minimum. :)

Your brother in law looks like he's about 8 feet 4 inches tall in that pictures :) Looks great. That's a big truck.

Ha! Yes he does!!

Thanks Vega, that was a monster to detail. It was so big we could only work on the side facing the middle of my garage at a time and had to turn the truck around/ back it in when it was time to do the drivers side.

I'm waitin for a delivery of detail stuff.....

Hoping it gets here before Jen, so she doesn't see more detailing stuff come in.

well the insurance company have written off my car, there was a lot more damage underneath than it looked,sub-frame bent, reinforcing bar behind the bumper is at 90 degrees in the wrong direction and the list goes on,so me thinks its time for something new, like I have a choice.

Sad but this could have been worse Jerry. You're still here to tell us about it. :bigups

detailed a Toyota sequoia for a friend today. a lot of badly oxidized real estate on this one. had to drag out my Makita rotary to knock it down to where I could finish up with my griots 6" da. a 2 step and finished up with a couple coats of menzerna power lock sealant. man I was beat after this one.

Did my first full waterless wash. I have been afraid to try it but at this point my truck will need a full Correction next spring anyways so I figure this winter I will learn how to do waterless and rinseless washing in the garage.

It's so easy, even a Kennedy could do it.......

Applied BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun to this Hyundai after allowing the Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection to cure overnight. This has become the dealerships favorite LSP. Something about the smell, feel and look of carnauba in a showroom gets everyone's attention.
