What did you do detailing wise today?

Nothing fancy just a good wash, dry and vacuum. Pollen is miserable right now. White truck looked like a tennis ball.

Finally getting over strep throat and bronchitis. I guess I should have taken it easier when I felt the sick coming on. Anyways, got a couple side jobs lined up for the month so hopefully they work out. Been awhile since I have done anything including a wash on my personal vehicles.

This was from the weekend. I washed ny Util vehicle. This was a remote detail.

I used the new DP soap - good bucket suds, cleaned well.

Was doing a little experimentation today on the rear spoiler of my dad's 02 Camaro testing out a couple other polishes (HD Polish and Ameridepth). Trying to figure out what polish works best for this particular paint. I ended up going back to good old M205.

I originally tried M205 on a new Meguiar's thing polishing foam disc after doing my initial testing with the other polishes. It did a decent job getting the paint looking better. I still saw some deeper defects. Instead of reaching for some compound I figured why not test out M205 on a new Meguiar's thin burgundy cutting foam disc. I heard some things after listening to a recent podcast on hard vs clear paint and seeing what Kevin Brown has done with the new burgundy cutting disc. So I went ahead and did that. The car has hard paint.

In the end I followed up with D302 on a Lake Country foam finishing pad to fill any remaining RIDS and then sealed the area.

50/50 with just M205 on a burgundy foam cutting disc and IPA wipe to remove any polishing oils to see how well this combo performed. I will be going this route for a majority of the car.

Did a quickie on the Camry since I was pressed for time getting all my errands run after being away all week. Poorboy's Natty's Blue Liquid and Meguiars All Season Dressing. Nothing like working with a clean slate...

detailed a neighbor's 2013 ford fusion today. I 1 step detailed it back in 02/15 using the new megs paint protect as the lsp, but it showed almost no paint beading at this time and water sheeting was equally poor. gave it a blackfire treatment this time around- btpns followed up with bfwd using my griot's 6" da and lc pads. one of my favorite combinations.

Detailed my Jeep for the first time at my new house. Thank goodness I finally have a driveway!!

Saved about 1hr not having to pack and unpack all my detailing supplies.

No pictures sorry it got dark by the time I finished.

Busy couple days for me. Did a couple quick jobs on a Dodge Ram and an '06 Roush on Saturday. Then did a two bucket wash on both cars yesterday morning. A lot more jobs lined up (too much work for a "hobby") so I'll try to take some pictures.

I made some hooks out of a clothes hanger for my brushes.

In the back on left side, I use a clothes hanger to hang up mitts.

The Viking Green Microfiber towels were nice towels.
