What did you do detailing wise today?

Mi Hermano Sueco Tony !
I am sorry to read you have such bad pain. :(
Hope you get better soon..
I have had great results on myself and others with this totally homeopathic oil -- https://www.plantlife.net/body/arnica-relieve/arnica-relieve-oil.html
I do not know if you can get this, but if for some reason you cannot, I will be happy to buy it and see if the company will ship it to you in Sweden.. If they cannot, I will attempt to do this myself.. Let me know, ok ?
You did a great job on your vehicle !
We are experiencing similar dark weather also - especially since a couple of huge fires close by have left a massive smoke cloud over the entire area for several days..
I hope you are able to get your vehicle`s all prepared for Winter..
Wish I could help you out..
Dan F

Thanks for the tips about the arnica oil Dan! I have looked it up and if not for me then my mother with fibromyalgi could benefit from it.
I have many collapsed disc in the spine. And is born with a to narrowed spinal cord channel. So the disc is pushing in the spinal cord. Which have been the reason to the permanent nerve damage and pain. It`s to many discs to do fusion surgery on. So the pain level treatment is the only thing that the doctors do. But I`m going to try to get another opinion at another spine specialist doctor. And see if they have any different solution for me. The hassle to get to one of those is a pain it self LOL. I have had this problems with the spine for a long time now. It`s over 16 years now since it broke out. And at the age of 26 when it happened the doctors found out to late that it was as severe as it was. Have done 2 surgerys in the lower back and one double fusion surgery in the neck. So try to live with it as good as I can. But have to do something fysical work once and while to not be going nuts LOL. The rised pain level is what I pays for and that`s better than doing nothing.

Man those forrest fires is scary! We had some in Sweden this summer. That we needed to get help from other countries to tackle those. One forrest fire was on a traing ground for the air force. All the risk with missiles that had not gone off. They accually tested with great success to bomb the forrest fire on stratigic places to put them out. And know that other countries been shared the experience they got from that testing. Saw that the US also had a big interest in the outcome. The downside is that it`s only works in very certain places and to be certain that no people is near where they bomb the forrest fires.
Hope that they can get the control of the forrest fires soon and that mother nature helps out too with a lot of rain.

Stay safe Dan and take care of your family!

Regards
Tony

Gorgeous. what did you put on the Weathertechs, and is it slick?

I washed my wife`s car yesterday. Didn`t take any pics. Used Merlin`s magic elixir for the first time. Probably did it wrong.. sprayed the whole car down while it was still wet, then dried with a drying towel and buffed with a microfiber. The car had mainly dried before I even got around to it with the waffle weave. Probably would do it differently next time.

Very impressed by the slickness of the elixir, though. That`s the kind of slickness I was hoping to get from CQUK/Gliss but didn`t.

He said Sonos engine Kote for the mats on the green truck he did before that.
Bingo, you got it. It`s not overly slick when it sits for several hrs and I do several thin coats sprayed on then brushed evenly with a designated boars hair brush, it gives it a new fresh look that when it`s real dirty and needs to be washed off it comes right off

Finally got warm enough this morning to knock the dirt off! Installed the WEATHERTECH mud guards yesterday. Cleaned up the interior too.

So last fri I did a quick upkeep on this Ford edge, and over the last week I`ve been working on the jd mower getting it ready for a coating. It`s to hard to get 100% defect free as the plastic is so soft and marable hence why the coating but I figure 90% is good enough

I’m surprised Solution Finish didn’t at least stain it black. It sure will stain your clothes and microfibers. Good call on the leather rejuvenator. I hope it lasts. Maybe top it with 303 Fabric Protection?

With a new product for me to test out. And the rain was coming in soon. I decided to do a touchless wash the Swedish way.

This is a couple of weeks of dirt. The roads are already covered with road salt here. It`s around the freezing point and then they use it to not get those icey roads.

First out is the tar degreaser. I applyied it directly without any pre-rinse with the PW. As you see the tar spots are desolving. With little over 5min of dwell time.

Then I put the Arcticlean Foam Clean directly over the tar degreaser. This is a very concentrated ph neutral prewash foam. Even if the foam is thick you see the run off has the dirt with it. And still leaves a foam behind and that is so you get a longer dwell time before it dries. The dilution in the foamcannon bottle was 1:1 and the chemical mix setting was in the least chemical mix.
Now I start to clean the car with the water pressure from the PW. I start from the bottom and work my way up. And as I where doing this the rain came in. So no need to dry the car. Just a thorough rinse after the cleaning with the PW. That I do from the top and work my way down as after a 2bm wash.

The results was good. Not perfect but the main of the dirt and road film was cleaned off. And that is with only the tar degreaser and prewash foam and the PW as products used.

Well, I cleaned and waxed two license plates today. Whew! Hey,before you judge,I did put on two coats of 476s.:)

SWETM, thanks for the demo on Arcticlean. Interesting stuff. I couldn`t find it here in the USA.

Took advantage of the 63 degree temps and knocked the dirt off of the ZR2. It go`s in tomorrow for my list of warranty items missed during delivery. And having a Aeroskin II Bug deflector installed. Yea. Loaner time.
