Enjoyed the beautiful weather and washed both vehicles.

Sitting nicely, now I need to get an alignment. But my car has become a garage queen and only sees maybe 50 miles a week, if that.

Both vehicles in the garage looking out.

Cleaned the bathroom...

...and then took the GG6, white LC pad w/ Menz SF3800 and buffed solid surface shower/tub walls. 2 coats of McKees paint coating + 1 of Gyeon Cure.

Was gonna skip the McKees in favor of some Kamikaze ISM Coat + Kamikaze Overcoat but that just woulda been silly.

Was gonna go for the Merlin shot of my reflection in it but figured that`d get me banned.

I spent five hours yesterday on a friend`s daughter`s VW Beetle. She is 16 and this is her first car -- she`s had it about three months, and while the car was always hand-washed, that was done infrequently and improperly with a hose and dishwashing soap from the kitchen. The car is parked outside under a pop-up canopy to protect it from trees around the property, but birds have started to appreciate the protection the canopy provides and perch on the metal frame of the canopy. The birds also seem to like to hang out on the black rear spoiler of the Beetle, and both the hood of the car and the spoiler were caked in bird droppings that etched the paint and the plastic of the rear spoiler.

So yesterday I showed her how to do a rinseless wash using Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax. Next we clayed the car with a NanoSkin Autoscrub mitt, then polished the entire car using 3D HD Speed using LC HD orange pads, and finally added a coat of Collinite 845 to get the car ready for what passes for winter here in California. We also cleaned the wheels of brake dust with Chemical Guys Diablo Gel wheel cleaner, polished the chrome bits, and used a vacuum and lint brush to remove hair from the family dog from the interior. The 3D HD Speed did a good job dealing with the damage from the bird droppings, and both the hood and rear spoiler look perfect again.

I also spent a few minutes with the 3D HD Speed working on the hood of their Lexus SUV, where a wooden box that was placed on the hood (why???) left a few dozen short but deep scratches. Last but not least I took out some scuff marks on the bumpers of the Lexus. I was really impressed with how quickly and effectively the 3D HD Speed took care of the scratches on the Lexus.

I didn`t take any pictures of the car before we started working on it, and took just a few cell phone pictures afterwards as the light was fading, but the car came out looking better than it did the day she picked it up. The work that was done could have been completed in less than five hours, but this was also about teaching and passing on knowledge -- what products to use, the order to do things in, tricks like getting the VW wipers into the service position to make cleaning the windshield easier etc. I also left her a bottle of Chemical Guys Rinse Free Wash and Shine and V7 Spray Detailer so she can maintain the car herself for the next couple of months before we do another detail in the spring.

I have found not much plays nicely on top of c2v3 , hopefully you don`t find the same out

are you diluting 1 (c2v3):2 (h20) for drying aid as they recommend?

You told me to do that. Of course.................. I didn`t (lazy) and figured it`s pearl white.

Guess I got really lucky, no streaks thank goodness.

How not play nice?

My Client`s previous SUV(which I was maintaining) was in an accident and a total loss , so she has me taking care of this one now and Today was my 1st time with it ever since she bought it Months ago :

Thorough Wash and bug removal, extensive nanoskin session with tons of lube since I was not going to polish, Eraser wipe down, 1 coat of 845 . Tires & Trim dressed with Perl and wheels sealed with 845. Interior was vacuumed (nightmare scotch brite carpet btw) and wiped down. Took me way longer than I wanted to but she was impressed and extremely happy.

I spent a good chunk of time cleaning this gas cap area, the dirt was heavy and sticky so I had to spray different things and switch between different brushes , even a cotton swab was used:

I think c2v3 sheds the LSP sprays I`ve tried rather quickly

It shed fusion spray in about a week- beads gone, but c2v3 beads still there
heck- I only got 2 weeks from fusion spray on my roof anyways

it shed liquid souveran spray in a few days

and these are only observations from mother nature, I`ve only washed the truck twice (1 rw and 1 2bm) since I started playing with the coatings about 2 or more months ago

Migue- did you sneak a business card in the gas cap? I do when I clean them up

kind of a nice little surprise for them to find

I can deal with that I guess....... How long you getting out of C2V3 ?
