What cleaner before 303 to use?

I'm planning on protecting my interior rubber, vinyl parts with the 303 Aerospace protectant on my new 04 TL. Cannot make up my mind on what to use to clean the surface first though? What are your experiences? I DO NOT want a shiny look for sure.

i was under the impression that 303 protectant, cleans as it protects. can someone clarify.

You can use Scotwax's mirical cleaner woolite and water solution. Works really well, is gentle and cheap too. If it's not really dirty, do as SK2003TypeS suggested and just use a damp MF.

As for 303, spray it on an applicator or MF towel (doesn't really matter what kind) and spread it on the dash, let dry a little and then buff off. I found that if I sprayed 303 directly on the dash I'd get spotting that was tough to buff out.

How do you apply 303? with MF or with some other applicator? I did not find good directions on 303 bottle.

I usually spray it directly on the dash and then spread it/work it with a MF right away. I've noticed if it sits for a few seconds to many, it gets a little spotty. Or for tight spots, I spray it on the MF itself and then apply it to the dash. Some use regular yellow applicator pads with great success. So it's trial and error.

I keep a MF in my console and usually wipe down the dash (dry) every few days. Keeps the dust low.

Are you over at the acura-tl forum too JoganJani ? Thought I saw that pic before. :xyxthumbs

Yup! I sure am, been a member since Nov 03. Picked up all the zaino stuff in that forum.

Kool. I came here too to ask 1 Zaino question....and then this happened.

Meguiar's #40 without hesitation!

It seems like #40 would be duplicating some effort since it is a protectant as well. #39 is labeled as a cleaner though, it would probably work well on rubber/vinyl.

You may use 303 after the above, but 303 protectant may leave a Shinny look, try buffing it after application.

This may seem real stupid, but how are you buffing out the interior?
